Florist Vent-UPDATED

I called my florist today to give them the final table count of 17, they didn't answer the phone, so Ieft a message on their machine. Before I called them, I doubled checked my contract which states I get 14 cp's and 2 free if needed, so that would be a total of 16 and I would only have to pay for 1. So they call me back and say that my contract is only for 12 and 2 free ones, so its only 14 and that I have to pay for 3 extra ones and even better they need the money by tomorrow for them, and its going to cost me almost $600 for these.

I am livid when I get off the phone with them, I don't want to give them another dime, I have completely paid them off already and I don't feel I should have to give them anything more. After 2 hours of being annoyed my sister comes to the brilliant idea that I should call my DOC about it and see if she can do anything. My great DOC, said my contract shows the 14 and the free 2, she is going to call them and handle the situation for me. Right now I am soo happy I decided to book a DOC.

UPDATE:
My DOC called the florist today and it seems like my contract is very misleading and that its only for 12 cp's and the 2 free, so my DOC argued about it being misleading. I am not having them do the 3 extra cp's, I have something that I can use for those 3 tables already and I refuse to pay the florist, my DOC agrees and told the florist to do the 14 cp's and we will handle the other tables. I love my DOC

are you kidding? How can they argue with a signed contract?? this is not what you need right now!! Hope it works out and you dont have to give them more money. Let us know!

unbelievable!
to have the huztpah to lie about the number of ur CP on the contract while these terms are all WRITTEN OUT in black and white.

florists just kill me w/their crap. why they always make things more complicated and effed up for everyone involved???

great that ur DOC will take care of it for ya. thats great to have!

whos the florist? they have to stick to the contract - no ifs ands or butts! They are def not entitled to more than what you agreed to pay in the contract!

I am sooo loving my DOC right now, I have been soo calm up until now and this made me go nuts today

omgggg i hope she's able to work this all out for u! u must be so stressed but seriously tho, how can they argue against what is written in ur contract? i'd fax them a copy of the contract that THEY wrote up and agreed to.....

I can't believe they would try to say something different then what is clearly written in your contract! Thats just wrong! Anyway, at least your DOC is handling it.

Can't believe they'd try and go back on a contract. I'd be livid too! If you asked for something not in the contract, that's right where they'd point. Glad your DOC is taking care of it. I'm sure you have a thousand of things to worry about right now.

I can't imagine how they can possibly argue it if it's in the contract. Just show them a copy.......which is exactly what your DOC will probably do. Glad she is able to handle it for you!

Fax them over the contract that you have that says 14 with 2 free. They can't say anything then.

That's outrageous. I'd be pissed, too! It's good to have the muscle of the DOC at your back, but even without a DOC I would've marched my azz down there with my signed contract in hand and refused to pay for all but one CP. And they would've HAD to do it.
