So I met with two florists this weekend. My first quote was $7600!! Today's quote was $6000! Holy crap! I am meeting with another florist on Tuesday & I am praying the prices are better. There is no was I can spend more then $5000. FH will KILL me! I am praying I can find someone in my budget, I really dont want to change my flower vision & FH just doesn't get it

yea that sounds high even for high centerpieces! but then again I haven't gotten quotes yet. I don't know how you feel about hydrangeas but they work well as filler flowers and are lower in price usually!

that is with hydrangeas! and alternating high & low. I told myself not to stress until after I see the other florist on tuesday. if its still crazy then I need to figure something else out.

Did you try Burtons? They dont care what flowers you are looking for... they just charge per centerpiece etc.

I would def check out Burtons! I met with them AFTER i had already booked a florist and would have saved myself about 2k! If you have pictures they will make the pieces identical and I couldn't find ANY bad reviews! I needed 15 cp, all highs, my bouquet as well as 5bm, I needed 9 boutonnieres, 2 mom corsages and an entrance centerpiece and my HIGHEST quote was 4k! That was with getting me peony for my bouquet in January! Keep looking around, you can def stay in your budget!!

I know I have a small budget, and I'm using smaller CPs and bouquets, but that quote you got is literally more than 3x the highest price I was quoted. There's gotta be better companies around that can give you a better price. I think what they quoted you is just NUTS lol. Look around some more for sure!

OMG!!! I am dreading going to florists and reading your post almost made me throw up. That is so much money!!!! I only went to one florist (Pedestals) and they wanted $250 for one centerpiece. Now I'm really scared to look at florists. lol

i agree with all these posts. I want to diy my centerpieces b/c I cannot justify spending $125++++ for something that sits on the table for four hours. The florist appointments are definately stressing me out.

i went to distinctive and flowers by brian and was quoted way less than that for the same you want. about 20 centerpieces, some pew bows, two standing floral things for the church, cake flowers and bridal party flowers
