So FI and I set our flower budget at 5k, which i thought was a pretty decent flower budget. I spoke with a florist who i thought understood our budget, and wound up quoting me 7k! that just seems crazy to me. My wedding planner seems to think that its going to be very hard to get a florist to do what we are looking for, for 'only' 5k. I'm really stressed about this. We are going for a 'southern vintage' vibe, so we were looking to get mason jars filled with flowers. I'm just curious to see what you guys think.

hey there .... i'm not sure what you asked for, obviously, but can you get low CPs instead of high? Or get half high and half low?
Alternatively, you could buy the mason jars yourself and have the florist just provide the flowers (if they're ok with that, obviously)

u should be able to get what u want in your budget...im using d i s t i n c t i v e ...try them...i went in with my budget and pictures of what i wanted and they worked with me

My budget was $3,000 and I am getting all my flowers from Pedestals for about that.
You definitely should be able to be in your budget

you should check out flowers by b u r t o n s they were by far the lowest price we found and I know many people who have used them and their flowers were great.

Did you request specific flowers that are out of season? And how big is your wedding? I can't believ your bidget, which is generous evenc ompared to most LIW wedding standards, wouldn't be enough to get you what you want.
I'm getting everything I want and my guy isn't known for his pricing and it's not even close to that much.

I think 5k is too much let alone 7k. Make them stick to your budget, it is more than most people spend. They can figure something out.

5k seems reasonable. Unless.... you are having exotic flowers being flown in from tropical regions. Or.... a lot of just really expensive flowers. My budget for:
