So FI and I set our flower budget at 5k, which i thought was a pretty decent flower budget. I spoke with a florist who i thought understood our budget, and wound up quoting me 7k! that just seems crazy to me. My wedding planner seems to think that its going to be very hard to get a florist to do what we are looking for, for 'only' 5k. I'm really stressed about this. We are going for a 'southern vintage' vibe, so we were looking to get mason jars filled with flowers. I'm just curious to see what you guys think.

Hey girls
First of all thanks for all the advice! I wasn't asking for anything crazy. I do love peonies and english roses, but I'm realistic enough to know that i could only have touches of those flowers here and there. I think the issue was that the girl i spoke with was a boutique florist in a very trendy area.
I actually spoke with Bella Flowers yesterday. They seem to really get what we are looking for and she says she can work with out budget! We have a meeting with them next weekend and I'm super excited about it! Is anyone else meeting with them?

I met with Christina and I really liked her. She will definitely work with your budget and give you great ideas. If you are open minded, she might even come up with some slightly out of the box ideas.

I'm also getting married at the riviera, and I had fairly good flower budget, as we are getting what I had heard was a fairly expensive CPs. We ended up getting exactly what we wanted and eve more for waaaay under our budget from Flower Barn. They were so willing to work with our budget and Mike was really nice to work with! HTH.

u should be able to get what u want in your budget...im using d i s t i n c t i v e ...try them...i went in with my budget and pictures of what i wanted and they worked with me
