I'm getting married at the Brentwood County Club and they offer their brides a full wedding package, including the florist.
I met with the florist today and I'm torn. I'm not all that big into flowers - never really have been b/c I never got them, but since joining this web site, I see people's CP and Bo-Q's and how people respond, so I wanted to ask you all a question.
This is the CP that comes with the package. It is daisies and mums - you can choose an assortment of colors, or choose one color. We chose ivory assortment of the two flowers, instead of pink, blue, yellow, or lavender.
However, I love roses!! I saw these at the showcase and fell in love with them, but my one concern: their height. I felt the guests wouldn't be able to see across the room when they were standing up. If I did a dozen red roses, it would be $15/table extra and we're having 14-15 tables.
I'll be carrying red rose bo-q, my MOH will be carrying a red and ivory rose bo-q and my BM will be carring ivory rose bo-q. The table cloths will be ivory with intricately laced design woven into them.
What would you do?

Re: Flower Centerpieces - UPDATE at Bottom!!!
Do the roses- with roses, les sis more. I say this, because I went to a wedding at the BCC, and the carnation/ mum CP was too small. With that height, you need a bigger top. It will be beautiful whatever you chose though! BTW- FH still says that was the best Filet mignon he has ever had!

Betsy, there is quite a difference in look with both centerpieces. The roses are beautiful and I would upgrade.
The heigth is not really important when talking about people standing up. It is mainly important when sitting that the table. CPs have to be either low or high so you can see people across the table.
ETA: is there some 'negociation' possibilities with BCC? Maybe $50 off.
I tried that, but with no success. Can't really complain with everything else they are providing!!
ETA: did you buy your slip? maybe you could borrow someone else's. I just gave one away that was given to me. It was used but I wash it a bit. I will use my sister's. My sister did not wear her veil either in the end so she is letting me use it. (I won't use it in the end but you get the picture!).
I would not cut the extra photographer either. Can you cut somewhere else?
Oh wait... you can take it out of the tip money!
I'm hoping if I stop spending money for the next 3 months on myself, I can afford to do both the extra photographer and the flower upgrade. The flowers aren't being thrown away - we decided to do the giveaway at each guest table for the guests to take home with them after the wedding.
I bought my slip from Phyllis during my 1st fitting. It was lined and it feels great and really puffs out my dress. I also got my tiara from her. I have nothing 'borrowed' so this should make for an interesting time!
I hate the fact that all these people want tips!!!

I really like the roses better. I would be concerned on relying on the table cameras and not getting the extra photographer. If you cut those that could save you you're $200 and maybe you could get the photographer and roses?! I'm sure whatever you chose will be perfect
