flower girl dress

Is it necessary for your flower girl dress to match your dress? The dress I picked out for my flower girl is totally different from my dress but it matches the bridesmaids dresses. My dress is organza with ruffles and hers is a pickup style. What do u girls think?

I actually don't like when the FG dress looks similar to the bride's dress.

That's exactly what I am doing. My dress is organza and the BM dresses have some pickups...and I want the FG dress to match their dress not mine.

I agree, I think it looks weird when the flower girl gets too matchy to the brides dress. Especially when it doesn't look like a little girl's dress anymore. I think as long as there is an overall sense of unity among the bridal party, in style and color palette you're all good.

I do not think so one bit....as long as it has the look you are looking for who cares if it matches yours!

My dress is a little on the sexy side so I wouldn't want my girls wearing a mermaid dress though it would prob be cute, lol!

My flower girl dress is cute I got it from davids bridal. Its a white pickup style dress with a purple sash. She'll still look like a little girl not a grown woman which is the look I was going for
