Flowerfield
I got married at Flowerfield in October 2001 -- and was getting concerned over all of the rumors I was hearing on Flowerfield building a golf course-- and condos... So, I was just talking to my sales Rep from Flowrfield that booked my wedding and she told me that the 'fairgrounds' are 365 acres and owned by a different company, not Lovin Oven. Lovin Oven owns 56 acres-- and that is where the reception location sits. She said the other company is selling some of the 'fairgrounds' to a builder-- but you will never see it from the Hall. The reception site will stay on 56 acres and not change-- they have a really long lease on it -- and then Lovin Oven can buy it ... I just wanted you all to know -- because I loved my wedding there so much I could not bear to hear negative things-- I wanted other brides to have the same wonderful experience I did!!

I am getting married there and was wondering if you had your pictures taken in the area where you went. Thanks so much

I have heard that too and am very concerned because I am thinking of having my wedding there. I love the cocktail hour room!

re: cindy
We got married there also -- and it was supposed to be outside but it rained -- so we were married in the cocktail room -- it turned out more beautiful -- because it was darker out due to the storm-- they had the whole room candle lit-- We got our pictures taken inside and it cleared up towards the end and we got a few outside . All of our pics came out great !

I really dont see it being a problem -- The grounds are so huge -- And The Lovin Oven part is very secluded from the rest of the fairgrounds. We got married in the cocktail room -- and my guests are still talking about how beautiful it was !! Good Luck !
