Flowerfield

Hello all, and thank you for this wonderful resource. I am posting this on behalf of my FW - although I am not a bride, please don't hold it against me!

We visited Flowerfield a few weeks ago and may be interested in booking there. What is holding us back is the price...we also like several other venues which provided much lower initial quotes (we are looking for a party in May/June/July). The place is very nice, but we will be paying for most of the wedding ourselves and it is hard to justify (and budget for) the extra cost as compared to the other places. Would anyone who has recently booked/celebrated there be willing to discuss pricing/minimums over FM? I think think this could be the place, but for now we don't want to get our hopes up so we won't be disappointed if it is too expensive.

Also, is there anything in particular I should know about this hall? It has a great reputation, but a family friend who is a photographer said he recently shot a wedding there and the food was subpar...a marked decline in quality from the past. Does anyone know of any recent changes in staff/management that might account for this?

Anything else? Any recommended upgrades, etc.?

I am also getting married at Flowerfield and fell in love with the venue the first time I saw it! The price is on the higher side (depending on the day and time of year), but we thought it was definitely worth it. Also, I have been to weddings at Flowerfield and Lands End, which are both Lovin Oven venues, and the food at both places is amazing! Not sure how much your family friend got to eat at the wedding since he was the photographer, but I had great experiences at both places. You should try looking up other brides' and guest's reviews of Flowerfield to get a better idea of their experiences. Good luck and let me know if you have any specific questions!
