flowerfields

Did anyone ever have a bad experience at Flowerfields (as a guest or a bride) ? I have heard nothing but raves about the place, but I want to know it all!

It's so funny you post this b/c I'm booked there and I have been trying for MONTHS to find someone to PLEASE complain about the place. I mean, people in general just love to complain and there are people in my family who always look to touch on the negatives with things but when it came to FF: NOTHING! Nada! I can't believe it but I have asked SO many people and I don't even get good reviews-- I get RAVES from people. That it was the best wedding they ever attended, that the food is restaurant quality and delicious, etc etc... Even the service gets raved about.

I am very excited to experience all of that and for my guests to have the same feelings!

Thanks, I agree! I figured there had to be something with the place that I could nit pick on. I cant believe it is spotless. I am ususally the person that finds something to be not right, but I hope not. Hurray for us! You are only one week ahead of us. You will have to let me know how yours went too.

Re: flowerfields

oh absolutely!

i'll be posting a review and all.

the only time i heard anything was from like 10 years ago-- that people didn't like how you had to walk outside to get to the bathroom-- lol but the place has been COMPLETELY renovated since then so it's TOTALLY different- they used to have a pool in the CH room-- completely different.

And different owners so it's apples and oranges.

So, we are good to go.

Re: flowerfields

My girlfriend had her wedding there in november two years ago and it was beautiful. The food was great and there was plenty of room for everyone to sit at cocktail hour, and never any lines. The only thing I have to say is I really enjoyed the place during the day and during a season where the flowers are in bloom., the place is full of windows and just being able to look outside at anytime at the beautiful grounds is really what makes this place stand out from the rest,. Its really the best part,. At night I wasnt as 'wowed' and I couldnt see out the windows it was pitch black.. I also went to a winter wedding there, and there were no flowers....no flowers at 'flowerfields' So I would def have a spring, summer or fall wedding there. No real complaints..just preferences!! This place is a beauty!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR IMPUT. I CERTAINLY DONT WANT TO FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE PLACE, JUST WANTED TO TRY TO AVOID ANY PROBLEMS. I WENT TO LOOK AT THE PLACE IN THE WINTER WHERE THERE WERE NO FLOWERS AND THE TREES WERE BARE, SO I CAN SEE WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. I JUST WANT THE PLACE TO LIGHT UP!

Sorry, can't say a bad thing...my brother got married there in November and I got married at a Lovin Oven Catering Hall too and the food was highly raved about even until today. So even if you do find someone to give any negative comments I am sure that you will be very happy with them.

ok, I can think of only one thing.... years ago (talking about 1997), I want to our dept's annual christmas party at flowerfields, and for whatever reason, the set-up was running late in the main room.... the cocktail hour was extended until my feet were numb

but like I said.... it was a decade ago! once those doors were open, the food was great, and everything ran smoothly...

There is SO much Wedding Stress....Let me tell you ....by Booking at Flowerfield....you can cross it off your stress list.

Please FM is you have any other questions or problems.

Re: flowerfields

what was your favorite part of Flowerfields? Where did you like to take pictures, and what food did you like the best?

Re: flowerfields

We loved the Filet mignon and the pork chops.

We had our pictures taking at Flowfields, since we were getting married at Christmas time we were concerned that we might not have any outdoor pictures...it happend to be a very warm day in December. Even in December They still had the Fountains going and the grounds were very manicured. If I showed our pictures from outside you would have thought we got marred in July.

My favorite thing about Flowerfields....hmmm

Lets see. I loved everything. Service was wonderful, food was delicious, and we had the best day of our lives.

I am also getting married at FF in April of 08. I have tons of pics in my album of FF from April of this year. Anyway...I too looked for a negative review and couldn't find a single complaint. I even asked to see the kitchen thinking I could find something wrong in there and...well...NOTHING!!!!

I can't wait to read your girls reviews and hear how your wedding goes...Keep me posted!

I just got married at Flowerfield in March, and let me tell you they are absolutely amazing there!

They went above and beyond on everything I imagined, and my guests are STILL talking about it two months later.

Food was amazing, and every single employee there is a pleasure to work with.

Flowerfield is 5 star all the way!

Flowerfield is amazing - the food is fabulous, the place is beautiful, and the people are all nice. I looked there for my own wedding.

My only problem with FF is the CH room. I had a very bad allergy/asthma attack from all the moss/greenery and the moisture from the pond.

But its so beautiful, its worth a benedryl or 2!

I agree with you.

However, I have to say that I did fall in love w/ their Christmas decor!!! I almost changed my date to have a Christmas wedding b/c that is how beautiful they decorate the place inside!! They have a HUGE tree all lit up in the CH room, pointsettias EVERYWHERE and everything is decked in tulle and lights.... Just beautiful.

But, I've always been a September girl- ever since I was little I have LOVED September so I had to go w/ my gut but seeing the albums that they have in the office from Christmas makes me haha!

I think that is how they make up for the fact that there are no flowers in bloom during the winter- b/c they have no control over that- so it seems like they go above and beyond to decorate inside.

Also, in the past year or so they have added a TON of spot lights to the outside so even when it is dark or you are in the main room at night- you can now see all the beautiful weeping willow trees around the property and they have lights on the fountains and ponds too!! That was a great thing they did-- makes it so pretty.

New owners have since bought it and completely renovated it...

But I remember the days before Lovin Oven b/c I grew up and lived right near FF my whole life...

Before- they didn't have AC in the CH room! lol! and there was a huge POOL in the CH room-- also, the bathroom was outside-- you had to walk outside to get to it... and they used to set up big tents and have weddings in there!!

LOL so LOTS has changed!!

My sister's friend wanted to get married there really bad but when she got married (around 97) it was before they did the renovations and had added AC and she just couldn't risk it b/c she got married in the Summer.
