I'm starting to schedule appointments with different florists. I was told that you should have an idea of what types of flowers you would want, and what types of flowers are in season.
With the exception of roses and tulips, I am completely clueless regarding flowers. Does anyone have any ideas? What flowers are in season in July? The color of the BM dresses is turquoise.

Re: Flowers
Hey - I just crashed the O6 board asking them what flowers were in season for my October wedding...I figure they would know, maybe you can try too!

Re: Flowers
I think it depends on your style...you could go bright colors to contrast w. the turquoise...purples, yellows, bright pinks
or you could do a cream, so that the emphasis is on the dress
you don't have to know what you want... i went to flower michelle with no clue of what i want and John just took the ball and ran with it... i love what he came up with. i could never have put together what he did

Re: Flowers
if i had no idea id bring pics of things that i like - even if theyre not the right colors. the florist should be able to get a sense of what type of textures you like and be able to suggest flower and colors that work for your dresses and fit your budget. here are some ideas, start collecting!!
I would ask the florist when you meet with them. They have some really good ideas!!

I am getting married in July too (during the day)and have turqouise dresses!! We want to keep a tropical/summery feel, so we are using hot pink, orange, yellow roses and some kind of turuoise like flower but I forgot what it is called and my contract is home.
