FLOWERS

I'm a little pissed

I booked my florist a few months ago - had a referral & just loved the woman I was working w/

Well - we went there on Saturday to go over some details - andddddddddddd

She quoted me at around $4700 - and why? Idk - the centerpieces are about $200/each - and I'm using alllllll roses in June - so it's not out of season flower or even a very expensive flower

What do you guys think?

hmmmm...well ours are all orchids, hydrangea and smaller ones ( its a higher piece) under the centerpiece that are calla lilies....

they were 185....but they are friggen huge.

that is alot ofr high cp that are all roses. Mine are less and they're calla's, branches and orchids

Well - here's the thing - I'm doing all roses, in the shape of a ball - so there's no greenery and it's a tightly packed look - she told me she has to use more b/c of that...

regardless though shouldnt be that much...I have calla's and braches which are both two of the more expensive things to get and my quote is less than that per cp

i would maybe ask girls who did the same CP how much they were quoted

what kind of vase are they using?

I got a round about - which i swore she said $4000

I didnt know exactly what I wanted to do - and I just loved her so I jumped the gun - screwwwwed up

We told her on Saturday that we HAVE TO go cheaperrr and she said she's working w/ us and will do everything she can

Honestly, she's soooo nice and I trusted her right from the get go...but then after this quote I felt like 'oh noooooo'

Idk if maybe she's upping the $$ b/c it's in Manhattan

But, she's claiming it's just what's she's coming up w/ solely on the work alone

it depends, at a showcase I had seen an all calla CP i asked one vendor how much and they told me $175 each, went over to another vendor with the EXACT same CP and they told me $300

It does sound high to me...I'm having white roses, orchids and calla lillies and I was initially quoted $150 per CP.

It could be diff b/c you're in Manhattan, I don't really know.

my guess is it is prolly a couple of dozen of roses....depending on how tightly packed you really want it...maybe think about adding flowers that will have a similar effect to the roses....maybe she can drop the price a little more?
or what about doing alternate high and low centerpieces...you might save money there also.
