Since we booked church, RH, photo/video, and DJ...Florist is our next major vendor.
We met with our florist tonight: Flowers by Brian. I didn't realize flowers were so expensive. We got quoted $3000 for:
Flowers for the church 20 low centerpieces 1 Brides Bo-k (+throwaway bo-k) 7 BMs Bo-ks 7 Boutineirs (sorry cant spell it!) 7 corsages Flowers for the cake.
Definatly did not budget anywhere near $3000 for flowers. The flowers are included gerbera daises, roses, delphiniums, and some other bright colors.
We have an appointment on Saturday with Pedestals and then on Monday with Flower Barn.
Any thoughts on the price quote? Anyone have any suggestions of florists we should look at?

i wanna say that she quoted me 3700 for all of that stuff u got but i wanted high centerpieces. your price quote seems a little high but im not sure. what did u think of them anyway? i wasnt impressed but i didnt not like them.

I am meeting with florist tomorrow so I will let you know better but he is on the more expensive side

I met with them and i have similar to what you want except only 16 low centerpieces and they quoted me 2500 and they lowered to 2300!! i would def bargain if you really love them! I have to add the arragements for church and petals and they were gonna give me an extra arrangement for the church...ummm i would try to bring them down if you are interested

uggh i don't get why these vendors charge others differently ....did you tell them your budget??

$3000 is way too much colleen!!!!!!!!! I am paying that but I am getting high too.....I've heard great things about Flower Barn, I would check them out.....I think you should be closer to the $2k to $2500

I second that! omg, thats a high quote for low centerpieces especially! and its not like u are getting a ton of extra stuff in your package
oh and i second verbena and flower michele too...both are great

ok because just go with you r minimum for cp - you can always add on
our min is 150 - we are expecting more but I am only telling the florist 15 for now

Thanks for the input girls. I was kinda freaked when I realized how much flowers would cost. Hopefully the other places I look at will give me better quotes.

If you are not going for anything crazy you should expect them to be no more than 2500 and that to me is on the high end

I'm not 100% sure but I think verbena might only do one wedding per day and I have her booked already. I know a lot of girls have had great luck with flower barn tho

That seems high. I would check out Flower Barn I know a lot of 2010 girls had luck with them. I also had a good experience with Jack & R*se but ended up not booking with them.

I used Pedastals but I got a good price bc a friend used to work there
My friend who checked out all the big names (brian, pedastals etc) went with Flower Michele bcc they gave her the best price HTH
