I'm not 100% sure but I think verbena might only do one wedding per day and I have her booked already. I know a lot of girls have had great luck with flower barn tho

I think you are right because when I made an appointment they checked if they were booked for my day

Re: Flowers

flowers are expensive. i dont know why everyone thinks theyre supposed to be cheap. ur quote seems a little high, but i dont think its outrageous.
its more import to SEE what ur money is buying. have them show you what $3000 worth of flowers looks like. u know?

thats one thing I dont have to worry about my sisters best friends brother owens a florist in Lindenhurst they do great work but arent a vendor on here.

Re: Flowers

I think that price is in the middle. I had one florist quote me $5k for a similar amount of stuff. Flower Michele quoted me $3500 and we went with them.

My friend went to Flowers by Brian and Flower Michele....and then she went to Burton's. Burtons gave her a quote of $2k less than the other two. You should call them,

oh...and when she called Flowers by Brian and said Burtons gave her a better deal...they tried to drop their price by $1500! But she went with Burton's anyway.

i have never been more worried about a vendor than i am right now about meeting w/ a florist next week!!!

i seriously cant wait until next wednesday is over so i can just know already!! i feel like im gonna lose sleep over what im gonna get and what im gonna spend...

and it seems that for every florist i read something good about, i find a negative review as well...i dunno, i think im jus gonna have to go with my budget and my gut

Re: Flowers

We're meeting with Pedestals and Flower Barn so I'll make sure to update everyone (especially the girls who dont yet have flowers). I think I might want to check out Burton's because I keep seeing positive things about them- where are they located?

I met with them and i have similar to what you want except only 16 low centerpieces and they quoted me 2500 and they lowered to 2300!! i would def bargain if you really love them!

The 3000 is actually after we bargained with them. Originally they wanted 3500

ouch... def look at other florists.

Re: Flowers

i am not going to say to shop around because everyone else already said that. lol. however maybe you can take to your RH & use different size tables. maybe some 10's & some 12's. that could help with the cost of your centerpieces.

Re: Flowers

Wow $3000. is alot! Have you thought of maybe making your own CP with silk flowers. It probably will be way cheaper?

Re: Flowers

I have not start looking at flowers, but I have to say I didn't realize that they were so darn expensive.

Re: Flowers

I'm not sure if someone said this already bc I didn't read all the posts, but we saw Flowers by Brian first and liked what we were offered. Then we checked Pedestals too bc we had a lot of recommendations to see them, and they quoted us 600 dollars less than FBB and we got some extra stuff too. Check out Pedestals they were really great so I wish you luck on that appointment, we booked them right after ours :).
