FLOWERS??

Hey Ladies,

What is the average amount everyone is spending on their flowers?? Some prices I got I thought were a little extreme, just want to make sure im not getting ripped off !!

My budget is 2,000k and I refuse to go over it

We spent about $2300 on 11 high CPs, three BM bo-ks, my bo-k, toss bo-k, flowers and swags for the gazebo and chairs at tend of aisles for ceremony, 5 corsages and 4 bouts....free flowers on trays for passed hors d'ouevres at CH and free rose petals for aisle runner and FG.

Definitely compare exact stuff to exact stuff...meaning someone's quotes may be high if they are having a lot of CPs compared to only a few, or higher depending on how large your BP is. Get exact prices for everything when you go florist shopping...how much is a high or low CP, how much are bouts, are rose petals free, etc. For example my bo-k was $110 and my BM's were $90 each...etc...and ask about a cash discount Some will and some won't....but definitely worth a shot!!!!

We are spending under 2k for (8) high & (8) low CP's for approx. 16 tables. Also includes the ceremony set-up, bridal party, parents, FG's, throw away bouquet, cake...basically everything needed for flowers.

I actually just went on Sat.

I am spending $2800 (including tax)

18-High Centerpieces
1-Bridal Bouquet (the size of a dinner plate)
1-Toss Bouquet
7-Bridesmaid Bouquets
20-Sunflowers for Pews
2-Large Church Centerpieces
10-Boutonnieres
3-Corsages for Mom, FMIL & Grams
Enough Petals for 40 Petal Cones

We are spending almost $6K on flowers!!!

I see your getting married at Flowerfield, that isn't terribly far from Riverhead.

I went with printed out pics of exactly what I wanted and I was very picky about size. I didn't want rinky-dinky bouquets...

Hahahaha... mine is a real fainter too.... we were quoted around 10,000 - 11,000. I think we will make some adjustments to get it down to 8,000!!!!!!!! we are getting A LOT though. But that's still

- we are using the same CP to decorate the ceremony room at the RH and he suggested that we do this instead of buying more flowers to decorate.
- 1 rose on each the chair sash
-bo-k's for 7 BM
-a little bo-k for my 2 year old niece
-7 GM bout's
-1 Groom bout.
-2 father's
-2 mother corsages
-1 grandmother
-tool for decor on chairs for ceremony and more petals
-1 bride bo-k ( I picked my favorite and spurged on myself)

I think thats it.....plus i keep the vases

All I know I was getting a lot...and the dais for my sweetheart table and cake flowers

I paid close to $2400 for a total of 12 centerpieces:
11 tables with jade dendrobium & pink phalenopsis orchids & the sweetheart table with cymbidium white/phalenopsis pink orchids & freesias.
1 BO-K: White phalenopsis orchids, white/jade roses & purple dendrobium orchids, baby breath, greens for filler tied with gold ribbon.
4 BM BO-K's; with lavender roses, irises and dendborium orchids tied with gold/sage ribbon.
Tossing BO-K: white daisies, yellow roses, irises tied with ribbon.
5 arrangements of Gerbera daises in pink/red//yellow/orange for cocktail hour.
80 small white roses as corsages for guests
4 Wrislets for grandmothers & mothers
2 corsages for fathers
White roses/orange lilies for archway
Light pink dendrobium orchids/white phalenopsis orchids for opening entrance of tent
2 pews for aisle markers (ceremony)
1 Groom Boutonniere/4 GM boutonnieres
2 flower pins for FG
1 40' Branch arrangement of cascading light pink cymbidum orchids & crystals with white river stones on bottom

Note: It may seem like a lot since it's very detailed, the quantity of the flowers were so little. I got my flowers in the city so I blame myself. Read my wedding review, I was def not happy with the vendor. Make sure you compare prices with different vendors, you'll be surprised in terms of price difference. If you plan on spending at least 2K, make sure the quality is phenomenal when they prepare you sample of CP/etc.

ITA...depends on type of flowers and if they are in season...some are less expensive that others to begin with. Also, some places charge per flower while other charge per arrangment. Also depends on how many ppl in your BP and corsages needed for parents, etc. So compare items you want to exact items with each vendor. Some ppl are given discounts for repeat service, referring ppl, using cash only....so you may see differences.

LOL....I know ...I am using Jerome Florist in the bronx ask for Louis (718) 931-9440 . Tell him Sheena sent you. My sister heard the price and switched her florist and saved tons....she is getting 20 CP's keeping the vase for $2300. He came recommended by the dress store Gowns by Louise and he is also the knot's best pick for NYC.


I wasn't picky with flowers just told him my colors and that I wanted something beautiful and inexpensive and he did it for me. I changed my color so he should be emailing me the new CP shortly when he puts it together.....but both mine and my sister's was gorgeous.
