Flowers

Flowers

So I booked my florist, but I haven't sat with them to discuss what kind of flowers and arrangements I want. When do you think I should do this? A lot of people have been telling me like 2 months before the wedding, but thats a bit close for me and don't think I want to let it get that close.

Re: Flowers

I am getting married in December and my florist contacted me like last May to have a consultation to get an idea of what I am looking for. When my sister got married in October 2006 (the same florist I am using) didn't meet with her until August 2006.

Re: Flowers

I met with a possible florist about 2 weeks ago. I told her what I wanted and brought in pictures. She went over the quote, made photocopies of the bouquets I wanted and was able to show me a different types of flowers we could use. I spent about an hours with her. We made another appt for this saturday and she is going to put together my bouquets so I can see what they look like and add or remove things if I want. At that appt, I will offically book with her, though I already know I am going to use them bc I get flowers from them often and love their stuff.

I would make your appointment sooner rather than later. I never heard of booking with them before seeing the bouquets and stuff but it doesnt mean that isnt the norm. I am not doing flower centerpieces so maybe thats why though. Hope this helps! and good luck!

I think you should have at least had your initial consultation already. I would go ahead and make that appt

We went for our consultation months ago and are finalizing everything this weekend for our wedding in April.

Re: Flowers

Before we signed the contract the Florist had the initial consultation of what we wanted. She then told us to let her know when we wanted a sample and she would get it ready for us in two weeks from our request date. I would definately speak with them to make sure they get exactly what you want.
