Flowers and Invitations...

My search has started. But I have no idea where to start.

With the flowers:
Not too expensive - doing candle centerpieces with some flowers, need flowers for the girls - the usual.

Invites:
Traditional w/a twist. Something a lil different but not over the top.

Who did you choose and why?

Malkmes in Port Jeff was awesome!!!! She was so great to work with about the flowers!

Also, And I Quote in Port Jeff has some awesome invites, pretty reasonable considering some of the competing prices!! hth

We chose Flowers by Brian in Mineola b/c Crest Hollow requires you use a house florist which limited us to FBB, Pedestals, Spitz/Peck and J@ck&Rose. I didn't go to J@ck b/c I have never heard a good thing about them, and Spitz/Peck was $3K more than the other two.

For me it was between FBB and Pedestals and FBB gave me a better feel, made me a sample on the spot and met Pedestals' price (b/c Pedestals came in a bit cheaper). I worked with Joseph and he was amazing. Not the cheapest flowers, but definitely gorgeous work. i've never heard a bad thing about them.

I've heard of people using B*urtons, Flower michele and FlowerBarn though and being very happy so it's really all about $ and style I guess.

I've attached a picture of my centerpiece and it is $150.

Designs by Rose- they nailed my vision and they were also the most inexpensive.

The sample centerpiece they made me looked like it would cost a fortune. Absolutely in looovvveeee with the centerpiece!!
