Flowers by Burton's Brides: When you booked...

Did you discuss the details of which flowers you want, exactly what you want? Or are you going to have a meeting closer to your date to discuss the details???

I booked with them a month or so ago, and we didn't really discuss exactly what we'd be doing. Maybe its because I didnt have BM dresses yet. They said we'd have a meeting to discuss the details a few months before the wedding. Now I am kind of wondering if this is normal!!!

If you are already booked with them usually you wait until you get closer to your wedding.

I didn't discuss in detail what I want. I wasn't too sure what I wanted when I went in. I am meeting with them later on to discuss....

We are booked there also !!!!!! On my contract it says that we have to make an appt around 5/1 to pick out our flowers... remember Burton's does not charge per flower .... they charge per bo-k and cp and so on ...... talk to Mike over there !!!!!!!! He is wonderful !!!!!!! The prices are great too !!!!!!!!!!!

I did, and then I changed them by email, about a month or so ago when you all may recall I went through my 'color transformation.' My response was 'that's no problem!!' and I see a sample on 9/20/08!!!

By the way, I went from all roses to roses, hydrangea, and callalilies, and nothing's changed (for those of you, who like me, still think that 'any flower same price' is too good to be true -- it's too good, but it is also true!!!)

I had no dress ideas either at the original meeting. They won't tell you what you should get unless you tell them you need that help picking. Bascially, you're just booking them for the day, seeing if you like them and they can fit your budget. They know most brides want to be particular, and since there is time, I'm sure they won't put pressure on you to decide flowers, colors, etc. yet. Mike told me that most people don't come in to the first appt. knowing what they want . . . . so no worries if you haven't specified it yet!!!! I mean, I was very specific, and changed it completely last month. I'm sure I could change it 5 more times, so long as it's not right before the wedding! They are great.

I called them and booked them right over the phone! My sister used them last year and her flowers were beautiful. I knew I was always going to use them, so when she said my date was available I told her what I needed and she gave me a price. I gave the $ 50 dollars on a CC and she mailed me a contract. It was that easy! You don't have to make any choices and physically sit down with them until 2 months before the wedding.

Also...for those of you who have not gotten your dresses yet, I also HIGHLY recommend going upstairs to Carol. Even if you look around and see a dress in another place, you can call her and see what she can get the dress for, and she can order it for you. I have never heard of anyone beating her prices!!

I am booked with burtons and you only need a $50 deposit and you just tell them how many in your bridal party high or low centerpieces if there are any parents and grandparents and the price is taken from there......about a couple of months before the wedding u go in and pick your flowers.....its one price for everything....so u can have lots of flowers for one price....very nice....

You don't have to tell them the flowers because you get to pick any flower that is in season. You just need to tell them how many people in the bridal party and parents etc and then the type of centerpiece.

I went in with everything I wanted and she said I didn't need anything til a few months before my date.
