If she wanted to 'Do the right thing' she'd actually call every bride who's wedding she missed while she was 'In the hospital' If she has nothing to hide then why is she avoiding all of the brides she let down?

sorry I didnt respond sooner, I am new to this constant posting (thanks Gina!) but I did want to show you what I replied to the first email (one I posted two days ago) and her response back:

MY RESPONSE:
Gina, I did read the good reviews, which is why I chose you in the first place. I am CERTAIN that you would never have received 1 single good review if you had acted the way you have in the past month. I have also read and spoke to girls who you TOLD you would be there for their wedding AFTER the accident and then you still did not show up. So how can you expect me to believe that you would do my wedding after knowing something like that? You made your bed, you missed weddings and acted unprofessionally. If there was an accident, you should have had the decency to call those brides who you left in the dust. Instead you left them with no option. What is your excuse for the bride whom you contacted after your alleged accident telling her that you would do her wedding “no problem” and then just never showed? Did you get into another accident? Did you also know that your DUI’s are public record and can easily be seen by anyone? If you got into an accident, like you say, then I can easily access those records and get them for the trial. We will see if that was the cause for your missing several weddings. Since you chose to make that deposit non refundable, I guess the next step will be you hearing from the NY Court System.

Sorry to inform you but your information is wrong. do what you have to do. I bought a lot of your vases and oais balls already. This is your choice , not mine. Have a wonderful Wedding!!!

OK. Then if you bought the vases and balls, and I gave you a thousand dollars and it is non refundable, then I will have my father pick up the pieces and we will call it even. Technically, the vases and balls are mine since I paid for them. Let me know when he can pick it up.

And then OF COURSE I never heard back from her. While I commend these girls on the boards who believe her for having big hearts and believing the best in people. I think it is truly foolish to have her as your florist after all of this. Even if it's true - she clearly does not have a back up plan in case of emergencies and that alone is cause for concern.

Taunita - I really hope things work out for you and your flowers, I do - b/c its just sad that some brides were bailed on. Also - if you really did all that research kudos to you for having that kind of time.

BUT with that said - why should ANYONE have to be a detective when it comes to a vendor? We (as consumers) pay vendors for a service so no one should have to go through that amount of leg work to get info. If she was a reputable business woman she would be screaming from the roof tops all the information 'she' shared with you. Why, out of all the brides on this thread are you the ONLY one that has this information?

B/c 'if' this is all true then that would fix A LOT of problems that seem to be coming down the pipeline for her.

If you trust her and are comfortable with everything - good for you and i wish you the best. But just based on what you had to do to get this information (why didnt she provide it to you upfront w/ out you making personal appearances at her home???) IMO it's not worth it.

My jaw dropped open, that was awesome.

Taunita- You seem like a very fair and smart person and I think it's great that you took matters into your own hands because there ARE two side to every story. However, the other girls are right, why would you want to and need to go through this trouble with any vendor. What are you going to do up until your wedding day, speak with her daily to make sure she's around and doing weddings every weekend? Do a drive by if you don't hear from her for a week? Not worth the stress IMO.

Your detailed post was appreciated but it doesn't answer many questions. One of the big ones is if she has discharge papers as she says she does and is willing to show brides whose events she missed, DO IT ALREADY!

You might not have the money to refund them but at least show them that you were actually in the hospital. That takes zero effort. Makes no sense that a simple piece of paper that that could end the debate of whether she was really in a car accident remains conveniently unatainable. She is avoiding these brides for a shady reason.

Wow!!!!! This woman is a piece of work!! I wouldn't believe any of her bull for one second! She prooved to be untrustworthy and their is no excuse for not having any back up plan incase of any emergencies - (which I have no doubt in my mind that she faked)

If I ever had to play detective for a vendor in order to feel comfortable using them, I'd rather just take my losses and move on.
Taunita, you seem like a smart woman and I'd hate to see you left stranded.
Plus, just like someone above stated, are you planning on contacting her daily to make sure she'll be there? Like a child you have to stay on top of? NOT WORTH THE STRESS -IMHO

BTW I always believe that there are THREE sides to every story. 'His side, Her side, and the TRUTH'

completely agree. At this point, it's not even worth the hassle and I stand by my decision to go with a different florist - who by the way did my centerpiece the original way I wanted it done and that Gina said couldn't be done that way
