I would believe CS over anything she has to say. Her lies are ridiculous and inconsistent and I would NEVER trust someone with all the drama surrounding her. She has YET to contact the brides who have been emailing her constantly who's weddings/showers she's MISSED after being assured 'I AM READY TO DO YOUR WEDDING AND HAVE ASSISTANTS' which is a load of crap.
For anyone still believing in her, GOOD LUCK. I could never trust someone who's lies don't add up...she should atleast write them down so she can keep to her horrible made up story.
And I find it hard to believe that SHE would decide to part with LIW as it has been stated by her that most of her business COMES from LIW.
I am so over reading about her stupidity. Ladies, find someone else and do yourselves a favor.
I applaud you marbear0112. You are the only one doing the right thing. Standing up for yourself and others and seeking justice. She did wrong and she deserves to pay for it. Or at least be hassled by her wrongdoings. Anyone who booked with her and did not receive services and/or was too scared to stay with her if their wedding date was close by should be bringing her to court.

sorry I didnt respond sooner, I am new to this constant posting (thanks Gina!) but I did want to show you what I replied to the first email (one I posted two days ago) and her response back:

Gina, I did read the good reviews, which is why I chose you in the first place. I am CERTAIN that you would never have received 1 single good review if you had acted the way you have in the past month. I have also read and spoke to girls who you TOLD you would be there for their wedding AFTER the accident and then you still did not show up. So how can you expect me to believe that you would do my wedding after knowing something like that? You made your bed, you missed weddings and acted unprofessionally. If there was an accident, you should have had the decency to call those brides who you left in the dust. Instead you left them with no option. What is your excuse for the bride whom you contacted after your alleged accident telling her that you would do her wedding “no problem” and then just never showed? Did you get into another accident? Did you also know that your DUI’s are public record and can easily be seen by anyone? If you got into an accident, like you say, then I can easily access those records and get them for the trial. We will see if that was the cause for your missing several weddings. Since you chose to make that deposit non refundable, I guess the next step will be you hearing from the NY Court System.

OK. Then if you bought the vases and balls, and I gave you a thousand dollars and it is non refundable, then I will have my father pick up the pieces and we will call it even. Technically, the vases and balls are mine since I paid for them. Let me know when he can pick it up.

And then OF COURSE I never heard back from her. While I commend these girls on the boards who believe her for having big hearts and believing the best in people. I think it is truly foolish to have her as your florist after all of this. Even if it's true - she clearly does not have a back up plan in case of emergencies and that alone is cause for concern.

Don't believe that about the deposits being non-refundable. She scribbled that on the bottom of the page and is contacting girls to try and cover her *ss. The deposit is only non refundable if you breached. She disappeared and essentially closed her business so you are entitled to all of that back.
I agree completely. We have enough people who have been scorned by her and have proof. The timeline someone put together earlier was a good start. I want to file a claim but might wait till after my wedding. i just dont know when I can find the time to do everything else.

You could file a class action case in civil court. I am only filing in small claims (which I believe, but someone can correct me if I'm wrong), that is for individual claims. It is unclear what we would pursue under a civil court - I am guessing if we did a civil action, we would do breach of contract or something similar. However, the reason I stuck with small claims court is that it is very quick and they give you a hearing date right away. Small claims was designed to remedy this exact situation. If we went to civil court, we could spend a year litigating this, and would have to deal with discovery and depositions of witnesses. Small claims court is quick; other avenues include filing a Consumer Frauds Complaint (which would get the Attorney General involved), as well as a criminal complaint for larceny with the DA's office (which would possibly get her jail time).
