and did you really make your own wedding gown? I have never heard of anyone doing that before. The picture you posted, it doesn't look like a homemade dress I feel like I have also seen that dress in the store before...

and why is your sn marmar? what was the thinking behind that? to confuse people with marbear who is suing gina??

Marmar stands for Mark and Marina that's the meaning behind it when i made the profile in August I didn't even see posts from marbear.
I ordered my dress online very simple and I fixed it up into what you see on the picture I'm sure you've seen it in stores I got the ideas from a few dresses.
Anything else and for the last time I am not Gina and she did not sent me. I feel I am doing the right thing,

her profile says the husbands name is mark and hers is marina...
i doubt its legit and even if she has the bride and grooms name right doesnt mean she IS the bride from that day

Hi Everyone I am the August 15th bride. The first wedding that Gina missed. I was really upset and angry at Gina for not showing up the day of my wedding. She delivered my personal's in the morning and then was a no show for the ceremony and reception. I of coarse reacted with endless phone calls and email etc. When I came back from my honeymoon I finally got in touch with her and i went to her house we sat down we spoke and she showed me all the documentation necessary for me to believe she had gotten in an accident and was in the hospital a few days later. Her daughter was hurt during the accident but she's doing better now and then Gina was in the hospital as well.

I just want everyone to know that if God forbid my child was in a car accident i would forget about any weddings I had to be by his/her side. I see girls posting that 'Gina ruined someone's life. ' I really hope that your life is worth more then flowers being delivered to the wedding. I understand everyone is mad and it's easier to gang up on someone then try to stick up for them. The girls on here that are not even Gina's brides should stop posting your input is not needed or wanted.

You girls are forgetting what a wedding is really about . It's not about some flowers, it's about two people spending their lives together. It's about celebrating that occasion with friends and loved ones with toast and music. I would be much more pissed if my band didn't show. :)
It's just flowers . I know the whole situation could have been handled in a different way but it is what it is. I am working something out with Gina she will compensate me for my lose and I will use her again for my sister's wedding and all other events I need flowers for.
For the brides who's weddings Gina missed I am soo sorry i was in your shoes a little over a month ago and all i can say that If that was the worst thing that can happen at a wedding then thank God because can you imagine how many things can really go wrong?
As long as the couple and loved ones are Happy and healthy nothing else should matter that much.

I am writing this because I really want everyone to stop attacking Gina. you picked her as your vendor by her reviews and designs. For the future brides you should really consider giving her a second chance I am sure she won't let you down.

Also after my wedding I contacted a girls that referred Gina to me and just vented to her. I am sure the girl felt really bad for recommending Gina to me and now hates her more then me even though her wedding didn't happen yet. I said a few things that I shouldn't have so I'm going to try to take them back.
1. My personals that were delivered were gorgeous and they were NOT BROWN
2. All flowers that I purchased from Gina for all other occasions were perfect.
3. The centerpieces that she made for me were everything I wanted and more.
there were flowers that I really wanted but were out of my budget she gave them to me for free.

I hope this clears some things up and I really hope that you girls would stop posting all the bad comments. This is like a broken telephone rumors start and are taking out of control. I'm sure you know how it will affect her business and In don't think you want to be responsible for that. She is a single mother that runs a business by herself with a crazy brother next door :)
People make mistakes and to all my Jews out there this is a month of forgiveness.

So move on from this incident and spend your time on other things besides this forum.

I only responded to the attacks I didn't lie about anything. I have no reason to lie .
I just don't get what you are trying to get through to me ?
If it's all the phone calls that she didn't make I already agreed with you that she should have. I agree that she needs to have a back up plan and that she needs to contact all the brides. What else do you want ?

What I expect is for you to stop telling different stories depending on who you are talking to. This person on this site (you) is a completely different person than the one many of us spoke to on the phone, so believe me, your responses are not helpful to anyone. I am not going to sit here and point out every single thing you wrote in your first post where you contradicted yourself. If you don't get it now, you are never going to get it. Responding to you is like talking to a brick wall and is not worth any more of my time and effort. Good luck to you in getting your money back. Just don't try to come to us for help once you realize what is going on.

So basically there are two girls on this entire board that feel the need to defend Gina based on what she has told them. There are SEVERAL brides who have now either gone without flowers, lost money or had to find a new florist last minute because Gina (whether is the hospital or not) did not hold up her end of a contract. SHE WAS A NO SHOW ON SEVERAL COUNTS NOW. That is a fact. The claim that she plans on refunding people's money has nothing to back it. She can tell people all she wants she's going to start refunding money but until she does that is just hearsay.

There are so many different stories surrounding this issue but if Gina was really going to do the right thing wouldn't she have already started contacting these girls? Not just future brides but the ones she screwed over? It doesn't add up. I wouldn't trust this woman as far as I could throw her.

I may not be directly involved but wrong is wrong and I would be pretty upset if one of my vendors did this to me on my wedding day, I think we all would be.

And I'm just confused on timing... marmar, you said she delivered your personals but no CPs. What she in the accident ON the day of your wedding? That would put her in the hospital until the 25th so I'm not sure why she was missing weddings Labor Day weekend. If the accident was after your wedding (putting her in the hospital over Labor Day Weekend) what was the reason you only got personals and no CPs?

Taunita, the fact of the matter is that both you and marmar have relied on what Gina has told you. That's fine and good if that is what you did, but if you really do your investigative work and put together all of the evidence, including Gina's own emails to brides, you will see that she is not telling the truth. I'm not getting into a long discussion because it has all been said before. If you want to stand up here and defend her, great. No one is denying she was a good vendor in the past. That in no way shape or form should impact how we as brides should take her behavior from the summer. She owes brides money and is ignoring them because she does not have it to pay up. End of story. If she truly cared, she would have contacted everyone as soon as she could....instead, she contacted all of you 2011 brides because you are the ones with cash she could still obtain.

Just to clarify - I didn’t rely on jack –I followed up on every “claim” so to speak and provided what I encountered - both negative and positive findings… everything is in my post(s) so if you need to read it again, please do so. In my reply post I think (I clearly) said I didn’t need to contact brides regarding email chains bc I whole heartedly believe their claims and I think they have every right/need to get answers and/or seek action – from Gina; clearly she needs to right some obvious wrongs. End of story. Furthermore…Gina didn’t contact me at all and has not once mentioned money (give me some more credit – the first thing I asked Gina for was a revision in my contract to ensure a back-up plan) – I sought her out because I wanted answers, my wedding might be far off, but I was still freaking out, which is why I needed to investigate further into the matter in order to establish whether or not I could trust this vendor from MY experience.
I’m not saying anyone is wrong – so please don’t tell me “what the fact of the matter is'. Marmar just happens to be the first bride getting some kind of response and now everyone is harping because it contradicts popular opinion– actually correction, the second bride because the wedding she did before for which I confirmed and saw flowers has yet to post (due to honeymoon). Admittedly and unfortunately until she posts– you’ll have to wait to start asking her questions I can only confirm that I saw Gina working on the flowers for her wedding and I confirmed w/ the bride who kindly let me know it was a beautiful turnout. I have no reason to make anything up, my deposit isn’t even that big. I loved Gina’s work and before I called her bro out for being a liar, I found myself joking “if she could spare an arm out of the straight jacket to handle my flowers – that would be legendary” lol, so when I first confronted Gina I came from a neutral stance (I wasn’t attacking and I wasn’t cheering for her either – I simply wanted answers for my questions). The only difference I see between my posting and marmars posting is that we confronted Gina in person – not a phone-call and not an email. I wasn’t defending Gina (where’s the bullhorn when you need one) I was giving you an account from my perspective and my findings from a factual perspective (regarding my original post on this thread). How about the fact that I call marmar’s wedding hall to see if she was a fake bride, that I called the city of Yonkers court to follow-up on the proceedings regarding the PIQ w/ DWI, I confronted her brother in person and called him out etc etc… these are things that took me minutes to investigate. I don’t understand why no else has maybe thought of looking into a few of these options that clearly merited attention. Why am I supposed to take what you post and weigh it like gold? (no offense intended) because you could say the same in regards to my post(s) and findings... i'm not claiming to be the Messiah lol. Yes...very true – she owes people money, Clearly thats a fact... Perhaps (just bear this thought for a moment) marmar is the first in line (since her wedding was the first one that Gina missed) it would only be common sense that Gina would start trying to correct her actions, with her. I dunno – I kind of put the two together - First wedding she missed, first call to action but this is just IMO. Like I said everyone has their own scenario and is entitled to their opinion. Respectfully.

*For clarification – Regarding the tanning salon – Gina told me there were more than two Gina Laplaca’s in Queens in regards to the whole DWI story and told me to call her salon in order to prove this fact (because they supposedly had records of both clients i.e. the other Laplaca in existence)…they were not able to confirm there being more than one. Yes this is a negative finding which goes against Gina – but its included in my original post; I haven’t edited anything. The good and the bad remains in case it will help anyone. HTH.

Also you do not want to do/say anything that will possibly reflect negatively on your cases so just keep things to yourselves or FM each other from now on, but don't post anything legal or what you intend to do until you have gone to court.

I am a part of this as a mother whether the MOB or MOG I am still a mother and care about the girls and their FH.. All I told the girls was to stop talking to you so as not to give out too much information which may harm their court cases. Apparently you don't like that because you won't be able to obtain anymore information

Why - out of multiple brides - are there only 2 that have 'gotten answers' directly from Gina???

What makes the 2 of them so special?? And I'm not saying that to be mean but it's just strange. Multiple brides have tried to reach her in all different ways but only 2 (from what is seen here) have actually spoken to her and know the 'truth'??

If Taunita and Marmar are indeed speaking the truth good for you and I really hope it all works out for you both - but that doesn't help the other brides who still don't have solid answers from Gina herself... So all the facts and info you have access to probably means nothing to them since it isn't coming from the source directly.

being that i am friends with Taunita and she knows exactly how I feel about the whole Gina situation- i cant stand Gina-- I know for a fact that Tauny NEVER stood up for her nor has she criticized her- she was neutral. she did the best research she could and posted what she 'found' and she has written many times that her words shouldnt be taken as 'special'--and that everyone should do their own research on the different allegations that have been posted. that is all.

the two brides Marmar and another bride who is currently on a honeymoon claim that Gina did their wedding and tauny actually spoke to both of these brides.

so anyways the Gina brides whose weddings she missed should go to her house with police if they have to and demand to see hospital records and demand answers IMO.
