So this is the last major vendor thing to take care of and I told myself I wouldnt spend more than $2000 on flowers but I have been to 7 places already in westchester and LI and they are all in the 3800-5000 range. This is what I have:
Just church bows and maybe flowers on pews My bo-k MOH and 6 BM Groom and 5 GM 2 mothers 2 fathers 2 grandfathers 1 grandmother 1 ring bearer
18 Tall CP averaging 125-150 each with mainly roses, stock, lisianthus, etc. (nothing crazy)
I went to Flower Michele b/c I heard such good things and they wanted 5000 and were the most expensive (the rest were no more than 4000 for the same exact thing)
Anyone have any suggestions??? This sounds like too much. what do u think??? I want to get this out of the way already!!!!
The owner, John, is FH's godfather and has done lots of weddings in westchester. He gets VERY good quality flowers (whenever he gives me flowers, they last at least a week)

Did you consider doing high and low centerpieces? I mixed mine like that and saved LOTS of money and they are both beautiful.

Thats about what i needed and what my quotes were, i chose high and low centerpieces instead of all high and my final price ended up being 2800. I actually needed less than you need, I think for all tall your going to have a hard time finding someone in that price range. But call Jen at Verbena tell her your budget and color scheme and see what she can do for you.

Yes I am too,,rose should be the most inexpensive of all flowers because they are usually in season.. and i am super surprised at flower michelle quotes because I had peonies and cherry blossoms and my quote was pretty decent.. Try Design by Rose.. she is good and inexpensive she did all my personals !!!

That is exceptionally high, my numbers are very similar to yours, just a few less tall centerpieces and I am paying about half what you were quoted. I suggest you shot around. I am using Vito at Pedestals.

you are getting married in New Rochelle-you are paying for travel for FM, they are in nassau county and with gas prices you are probably being charged for the travel to your hall and wherever else the would need to deliver flowers. Have you tried looking for a florist closer to your hall?

Check on your contract, I know when I did mine we went over the delivery charge-but I was only 2 towns over, it might be on your contract

$125 - $150 for mainly roses??! I agree with the other brides...definitely go to Verbena. Jen is awesome! And she is so flexible -- she doesn't even skimp on the flowers. If you haven't already...try Simply Elegant -- I think that their website is www.flowersanddreams.com. They were very reasonable for a quote.

thanks for all the info/help!! So far in westchester I have looked at forever in bloom, westchester floral, arcadia florist, and designs by daniel. Arcadia was the cheapest so far! I was very surprised.
Is Designs by Daniel in Port Chester? If so, that's my florist and I can tell you he is pricey but the flowers are magnificent. Did you check out House of Flowers in Mamaroneck? Of the ones I looked at he was the least expensive.

This is a really good piont ,, I didnt even realize it.. Shop around some where closer to your venue...
