Flowr Girls/Ring Bearers
Who traditionally pays for the flower girl and ring bearers' attire? I am having two flower girls, one junior bridesmaid and two ring bearers. I assumed their parents did. Am I wrong?

Re: Flowr Girls/Ring Bearers
my MIL did (they were her grandchildren) - she paid for the material and made the FG dress and RB vest.

Re: Flowr Girls/Ring Bearers
But, is there an unspoken 'rule' about who pays for the kids? I just don't want to pick dresses/tuxes out and then have them expect ME to pay for it. I'm confused

Re: Flowr Girls/Ring Bearers
It should be the parents of the children. My brother paid for my nephews tux, but I may buy my neice's dress. My sister-in-law is my MOH. That is a big expense for one family.

Re: Flowr Girls/Ring Bearers
The parents of the child should pay for their attire. Although I did purchase my FG a really cute coat (Nov. wedding) and a little something for her hair. I offered to pay 1/2 of the dress since I felt it was not on the inexpensive side but my SIL said No.

Re: Flowr Girls/Ring Bearers
How about if you have a ring bearer and junior bridesmaid in one family (but no bridesmaids, etc)? My brother is walking me down the aisle (same family as the kids). Also, my FI's two kids will be in it as well (one flower girl, one ring bearer) - no bridesmaids though. Please help!! I don't want to do the 'wrong' thing - and I also don't want to spend money if I don't have to.

Re: Flowr Girls/Ring Bearers
Okay, so I'll go with the notion that my brother pays for his daughter and son (and his attire) and my future SIL pays for her daughter and son. And, I can always buy accessories for the girls if I choose to...

Re: Flowr Girls/Ring Bearers
The parents... Since they cannot make their own decisions on whether or not they will actually be in the bridal party, the parents giving the ok, is saying OK to all the expenses that come along with it. Some brides pay for the attire as part of a thank you. I'd rather get my FG and RB's gifts of their own

Re: Flowr Girls/Ring Bearers
i am paying for my fg dress only because i don't like the one her mother had for her from someone else's wedding. (it was a full length bridal gown w/train and everything) I told her mom (my fsil) that i didn't like it and that i would buy her one to wear.
