So many posts of brides venting aboout FMIL, I thought I would say something nice about FMIL..... she offered to pay for the band and she said for FH and I to find a place we like for the RD, and that her and FH's father would pay.... she doesn't try to take over and never complains... Anyone else have something good to say about FMIL????!!!!!!

I have great FIL's. I may complain about them butting in but I know it's only because they worry. It never gets out of hand or gets nasty. They are sweet as pie! In fact, they help me more with the planning than FH does!

I absolutely adore my mil. She is a wonderful woman with a heart of gold, and she did an awesome job raising the love of my life.

Absolutely!!! She is the most supportive, loving, patient, and wonderful FMIL I could ask for. Even though she's moving across the country, she's still interested in my wedding plans, and is helping out both financially, and with much advice! She also did my e-party for us, and is planning our RD now too!

My FMIL is also great and actually so are all of FHs family. We live with FILs and they have been a HUGE help with wedding planning and are really great people in general

I'm glad someone made a post like this. We hear so many negative stories it's good to get the other perspective!
My FILs are great. They just recently offered to pay for the rehearsal dinner which is a huge weight off our shoulders. Anytime I talk about the wedding my FMIL gets so excited. She's letting us do our own thing in terms of the planning (i.e. not putting any demands on us) and it's making my life much easier.

This is a good idea....
As a surprise my FMIL (FFIL too) hired heralders to greet our guests. We talked about it and then decided not to spend the extra $. Saddly, they had to tell us before the wedding because she was worried that we would hire them at the last minute (we are like that. lol), but it was really such a kind thing to do!
