Did you go with your FMIL to pick out her dress or did you let her go on her own? Just curious.

I offered, because I didn't know if she would ask. We went to a few places and then out to lunch. We talked about the planning I had done so far, it was a nice day and I know it made her happy. I would at least offer, mothers of the groom tend to feel like an outsider when it comes to the wedding and its a nice way to include her.

I went with my MIL once she narrowed down to a few choices...then I helped her make the final choice!

I took her out shopping one day, FMIL does not drive and FH did not feel like taking her. But she did not find anything so he had to take her out another day.

nope... but when she had trouble making a decision she had FFIL call me from bridal reflections to make me vote! I ran down there within 5 minutes and then she ordered the dress!

Heck nooooooooo. She lives in Ohio, but even if she didn't I wouldn't go with her and you couldn't pay me. When I tried to show her my dress for the wedding, she told me she was busy and maybe later (she was....clipping coupons ).
So she can wear whatever and go shopping alone and if its too casual or a bad color or ugly the only person who's going to look stupid is her.
the stories you have about her are great..

I went with her. She looked awesome in platinum but wanted navy. I was feeling happy, so I bought her Chik Fil-a. It was yummy.

I probably wont, She knows we are having a formal wedding, and if she wears white i wont let her in the door :) other then that, she can wear whatever she wants. She will be the uncomfortable one not me

Both my mother and FMIL went on their own. I trusted whatever they picked. I wasnt picky on what colors, style, ect. they chose.....It was whatever they felt the most comfortable in. My mom wore black....my Bridesmaids were in black, but again, this did not bother me one bit....its my mother. And my FMIL wore turquoise.

She has this crazy idea of getting her dress made. She usually dresses pretty nice so i am not worried. The only issue i am having is that she wants to decide on the color
