I would just get her one. I mean how much money is she really saving you? My FMIL told us not to get them a parents album. Part of me thinks, oh ok fine, that's a few hundred saved, then the other half thinks, 'Whoa, maybe she really doesn't want to have a little memory of the day'! I think she is just trying to be nice, but we'll get her one anyway.

She is very difficult! What about one of those mom bo-k's??? Personally..it's her loss...and everyoe is going to think you didn't get her one. I would get one, cause at least you tried!

I say just go with the flow....it wont ruin your pics at ALL!!!

If you'd like, I can make a point to say something like ' Oh Joanne I didnt even notice you because you werent wearing a corsage.' or ' arent the corsages beautiful...wheres yours? 'LOL

I agree, order her one anyway just in case. It will work one of two ways. She will be happy she has one and she's not left out. Or she will make a big deal out of it that day and make her self look silly. Not sure why is is beng difficult but I wouldn't let her get to you. It's your day.

So i'm at the florist doing my finals and i call fmil about her corsage. she tells me -- she doesnt want a corsage - 'everyone knows i'm the mother of the groom, what do i need a stupid flower for'

i was like - you need it for the pictures.. she was like, 'well, if you want to waste your money just for a picture, i think that is stupid'

UGH -- so no flower for her..

u think she will look like an idiot, when my mom and grandmas all have a corsage, godmothers too and she doesnt??

awww I am sorry to hear she doesnt want one...how about a small bouquet? If not I would get her one anyway (just in case she changes her mind/most are about $10...) once she sees all the other ladies with them on...she might feel left out....

I'd get one anyway and give her the option the day of - she might change her mind. I'd also ask if she'd prefer a nosegay - that's what we had for FMIL, everyone else had corsages and it looked great.

My mom didnt really want one either.

You can pin a flower to her dress if she would prefer that or nothing at all. Believe me - I doubt anyone would really notice there are so many more important things going on.

That is exactly what is going to happen. the old italians will probably think i didnt like her and so i didnt get her a corsage. HAHAH
