FMIL DRAMA HAS COME TO A HEAD...today's update...again

She called my parents today, mom was fed up with her, and then FMIL calls me and tells me that if I DON'T STRAIGHTEN this out she's not coming to the wedding (and according to the peanut gallery in the background) NONE OF THEM ARE....FINE BY MY....SEE YA, WOULDN'T WANNA BE YA!!!!!

5/9/09 Yet another episode in the story of my life

So the peanut gallery people are her daughter (FSIL and son and BM FBIL,) I could care less whether she comes or not, I feel bad for FH, hes crying, upset and totally caught between a rock and a hard place, I would ABSOLUTELY call her bluff, if she wants to ruin the most special day of the son she says she loves so much then that's something that she's gonna have to live with for the rest of her life, believe me, she isn't spiting me.

It's so incredibly hard for us because she's so crazy, one minute at my shower she talks about how much she loved FFIL and misses him, then she tells my dad how he used to beat the $h!t outta her, I mean, she's totally off her rocker.....and my dad talked to her, tried to tell her let's be civil, for the kids, only 30 days left until the wedding, please, shes like you don't understand, its Gina (fbil's ex) I'm like I haven't spoken to her in like 6 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I went to pick up the phone to defend myself but my dad told me to hang up, he handled it, but in all honesty who knows what she's gonna pull next, and frankly, if she does come to the wedding, i'm afraid she's gonna try to pull something shady to ruin our day,

Oh my gosh, she's so insane!!! Is she on meds? IF she does attend the wedding, maybe someone can suggest she pops a mild sedative before to calm her emotions (but really it would be to keep the wacko at bay!)

Maybe you could hire her a personal shrink to go and speak to so she can work through some of her issues instead of trying to spread the wealth -- this sounds positively awful and stressful, and not at all what you need to be dealing with right now.

Thanks so much ladies for your kind words and concern, I really have never seen FH like this before, he's worried about the status of his job and is not really caring about his mom and he BS, she's tired of it, and I can understand that, and he's so incredibly tired of hearing about what she's doing, I'm so scared of him losing his job and having no where to do, we can't survive on my salary and I don't want to start married life like that, not to mention his mother isn't helping, instead of being supportive, she threatens to not come to the wedding, how could you be so insensitive to your son, your first born that you say you love so much, it baffles me on so many levels, I just can't understand how she took everything my dad said and turned it into something totally different, unrelated and nonsensical. She really should be medicate before the big day and during, I'm afraid she's gonna pull some shenanigans and try to turn it into 'HER DAY' I want her to stay with her family, and keep away from mine, just leave me and my parents alone, she causes fights between us all the time and she's really not a good person, she's got no redeeming qualities, the only thing I'm thankful for is that she had FH, she's mean to him, mean to me, and talks about my family (to my face) she tells me she said things to me in confidentiality, what am i supposed to do when you talk $h!t about my family to me, keep it to myself??? If she could only keep her mouth shut and own up to what shes done and be NICE.....things would be much happier and more peaceful...... Anyone know a good shrink?!?!?!?!?!?

I'm like an old lady watching 'her stories' over here. Why am I so swept up in your family drama??? What did your dad say to her?? Who is Gina and what does she have to do with it?? Why is it up to you to fix it?? What did she say to your parents on the phone???

In all seriousness, though, I am so sorry you have to deal with this, and I am especially sorry for FH. I mean, it's one thing when a future in-law is cruel to you, but when it's your own mother, that's just too much. And add to that the stress of his job, and I think he must be having a massively hard time.

You know, if you talk to her, I wonder if you could make that point you just made to us?
