'I know that you are obviously coming to the rehearsal dinner, but could you please RSVP to Jeff's mom so that she can get a final headcount?'
Well one of my BMs sent my email attached to her email RSVP-ing to the rehearsal dinner and his mom IMMEDIATELY calls me and starts lecturing me on how it is not obvious to her that everyone is coming and how is SHE to know people's dates names or if they are even bringing one, etc...
I just thought I was sending a nice reminder email.... Apparently it was rude. Who knew?
Lesson Learned: Don't email anything you don't want getting back to the person you are talking about.

I don't see anything rude about that at all.. E-mails are hard cause you can't hear the persons tone of voice. Maybe you should let her know that.
