As some of you girls may remember my FMIL was diagnosed with lung cancer about 8 months ago. It was a long battle, and she fought her hardest. This past Tuesday night she passed away, a day before my birthday. We take comfort knowing that she is in peace, finally free from pain, and in a better place, but nevertheless, it's a really difficult time. And FH was her little boy and they were super close.
Just as a side note, to all the girls who sometimes complain about their FMIL's (like I sometimes did) please be thankful for them, and be happy that they will be there on your big day to see their little boy get married. My FH will no longer be able to do that.

I am very sorry for your loss. I also lost my FMIL to cancer last year, so I know exactly what your going through.

i am so sorry :( my aunt lost her battle with breast cancer in january of this year. :(:( my prayers are with you and your FH and both your families
