FMIL lost the battle...

As some of you girls may remember my FMIL was diagnosed with lung cancer about 8 months ago. It was a long battle, and she fought her hardest. This past Tuesday night she passed away, a day before my birthday. We take comfort knowing that she is in peace, finally free from pain, and in a better place, but nevertheless, it's a really difficult time. And FH was her little boy and they were super close.

Just as a side note, to all the girls who sometimes complain about their FMIL's (like I sometimes did) please be thankful for them, and be happy that they will be there on your big day to see their little boy get married. My FH will no longer be able to do that.

I am so very sorry. I hope that your wedding can be a celebration of your new life, her life, and what she gave to you as her gift (your FH)

I'm so sorry to hear that news. My dad passed away because of lung cancer. You and you FH and your families are in my prayers. I'm sure your both comforted any the fact that she is isn't suffering anymore. Please feel free to reach out to me if you need to. Take care.
