As some of you girls may remember my FMIL was diagnosed with lung cancer about 8 months ago. It was a long battle, and she fought her hardest. This past Tuesday night she passed away, a day before my birthday. We take comfort knowing that she is in peace, finally free from pain, and in a better place, but nevertheless, it's a really difficult time. And FH was her little boy and they were super close.
Just as a side note, to all the girls who sometimes complain about their FMIL's (like I sometimes did) please be thankful for them, and be happy that they will be there on your big day to see their little boy get married. My FH will no longer be able to do that.

I'm so sorry to hear that terrible news. But like you said, she is out of pain and she is def in a happier and peaceful place :) If you ever need anyone to talk to or just listen, fm me :)

iam so sorry for your loss. i am one of the ones who has complianed about my FMIL on many ocassions, and i spent the weekend with her these last 3 days and she is not as bad i have made her out to be. She is also sick, and i would hate for her to go and not have ever made my peace with her. despite how much they can come down on us, iam thankful for her, because without her i wouldnt have FH. keeping you & your family in my prayers!
