okay how many times a day do you speak with FMIL. I swear she calls me so much I keep my cell phone off and screen my home calls. Ring a ling there she is again! I talk to my mom like twice a week. Calgon take me away!

She'll call about once a week, we talk - we get along - but I don't go out of my way to call her, I'm bad like that, accept with my mom, I'll call her like 5 times a day.

I am always over there on the weekends so I speak to her then but on the phone....if it is an emergency she'll call me or if I need to ask her something I will call her but rarely....I like that because she can talkkkkkk!!!!!! Whew!!! I just don't have the time!!!

I speak to her about once a week. FH and I each talk to our family about twice a week. Every now and then FMIL will get on the phone trying to get me to go dress shopping with her. I live in CT so it's hard for me to go in, especially since we're in the middle of purchasing a house.... The wedding is more than 6 months away... you have plenty of time to get your dress....
I voted Who???? but I speak to her once every 2-3 weeks. We get along fine but I guess we dont have much to talk about.

She does not call me. Actually, she does not have my number. The only time I talk to her is if I am there and that maybe once a week but even then it is only really small talk.

I think she's called be 2 or 3 times ever- adn that's jsut lookign for FH. I talk to her when I see her & we get along fien, but we aren't close. I guess I stillthink of her as my boyfriend's mothe r& not family. that will take some getting used to. I only talk to my own mom about ocne a week though, twice if I have a question or something.
I'm not big with the phone calls.

She never calls. She never calls FH either, they only speak during family GTG's. There are no issues, that is just the way she is. I find it strange, however, I usually speak to my dad once a day.

Only when I see her-and even then it's just Hi and bye.... We don't get along very well-she likes to be nice to my face, but then she talks bad about me behind my back.

WOW - that's a lot. I never talk to my FMIL unless I am at her house visiting. I think in the past 4 years she has called me twice - otherwise she will e-mail me or ask FI - but that's not very often.

I actually like my FMIL a lot .. but since I'm not a chatty phone type person and neither is she, we talk at MOST 1x a week, more typically 1x every other week. When we are in person she bends my ear, though (which is OK) and we even go shopping together, etc. She is actually a very nice woman
She is helping a lot with the wedding which means she EMAILS constantly with ideas. Which actually is a lot easier to deal with, since you can always hit that wonderful 'delete' key!

i see and talk to my fmil EVERYDAY. she gets on my nerves a lot, but i love her and we get along well.

Rarely - although I love how she calls for FH when she knows he's at work to leave a message - are you trying to avoid your own son?

My FMIL is in a relationship with a guy in Brooklyn (they're getting married soon)
Jim & I live with his Grandmother & brother. So we see her (FMIL) at most once a week if she comes in to take the grandmother shopping (it's Jim's grandmother on his father's side his mother's). Otherwise I guess once a month. I think Jim's mom feels strange spending too much time in her ex-MIL's house and I don't blame her.
The only other time I talk to her is if she's looking for Jim. For some reason she has my cell phone number in her phone under Jim's name.
She's nice. We just don't have a lot to say to eachother. We both come from such very different cultures and backgrounds. We have very very little in common except Jim.
