ok ladies- my wedding is in November- my color are wine and silver- i saw my FMIL this weekend and this is what she told me she is wearing to the wedding!!!!

Just very nicely tell her that the jacket is nice, but since this is her son's wedding, a long or tea length dress would be more appropriate, especially since she has a special role as mother of the groom.
You can also suggest that she wear the jacket and skirt at the rehersal or at your shower.

Just suger it up. Comes across better that way. Your mom's dress is lovely. Offer to help your FMIL go shopping if she would like. Lord & Taylor in the city, has nice dresses that are perfectly approproate for MOB or MOG. Nordstrom too.

i talk to my msil and she said just let her wear it . she is not in most of the photos so i should not stress over it- if that is how she wants to look on her sons wedding then let it be- but we still have enough time she might find something else
