FM's

this just made me nervous that maybe i forgot to send a thank you to someone... I always try to, and if I ever didnt i apologize to anyone I may have offended...

but when does it stop??? i totally agree, but after thank you and they send a 'you're welcome', do you respond to that???

i must say... no one has ever NOT responded to a 'help' situatuon.....

but i honestly dont care.... if its a 'thanks' it usually interferes with teh post i am currently writing .......... does that make sense?

im saying if they are just writing an FM to say 'Thanks' or a smiley face..... dont bother! it usually pops up when im in the middle of writing a post and then i stop to read my FM juist to see 'thanks'... (and a little huggie).... i really dont care.

I just went back and thanked everyone for their sympathetic FMs after my miscarriage. I appreciated them but wasn't in the mood to answer. Hopefully people understand... sometimes it's hard to reply.

Totally different situation. Its those people who have a dire question that must be answered and then... no response.

I feel the same way. I love to provide help/advice to brides to be - as so many have helped me. It never bothered me if someone didn't say thank you, though i do usually send a thanks to a person who provides me advice. I honestly forget about it the next time i log on unless that person has another question to follow up with.

its kind of annoying b/c they're so anxious to get an answer, but like someone else said, can't just take 2 seconds to say thank you


side story- like a week or so before my wedding, Jan05bride wrote me a super long FM that was seriously the MOST resourceful thing for my reception, and she was like a god-send with all of the last minute info. I remember i was running around liek a chicken w/o a head, and only wrote back soemthing like 'thank you sooo much i really appreciate it'. i felt like that was such an understatement as to HOW much she had truly helped me! Anyway, my point in this was just that... I understand (as i think most of us do since we Were in the same position).. that it Can be hectic, and no one's asking to have their toes kissed or anything for helping out, but really, it takes a minute to acknowledge that someone did something for you... its just basic common courtesy
