FH and I went to the church tonight and met with the guy and reviewed our answers from our 'test'. it was so funny. i made so many mistakes. I answered that I think one of us may not be ready for marriage. I dont know why i put that. sooo many questions. oh well. Did everyone else do this?
We did it when we have precana but bc we are in NC they mailed our results to our priest in NY. We are trying to schedule our meeting with him to review our answers! I'm sure we put some things like that down too - I know some of FH's answers were not what I expected (cuz I peaked while he was taking it!)! It should be interesting!!!
oh my gosh...when we did that i realized how many mistakes i had made. tHEY reword the same questions and it is so long that i got tired and put that i will not feel comfortable naked in front of fh...i was really funny

i know! i cant believe how many mistake i made. FH kept laughin at me.
Curious. How are 'incorrect' answers responded to? They don't tell you you shouldn't get married, do they? Mary MOB

no, they basically see where your differences are and if you are aware of them etc...and basically kinda push for you to discuss them..it can be a bit intrusive

I kinda felt sorry for the girls as I was reading their posts!! I was like a defensive Mom, thinking, ' How could any answer be wrong?' Most respectfully, Mary MOB

no not at all. they just want you to talk about your answers so there are no suprises. its not a pass fail thing.
I'm glad our priest didn't make us do this, we just had to do the pre-cana... I wouldn't want to do something like that, lol

hahaha we just got our results on Monday. In our parish you go to a couples home and take the test and then go back a few days later and review it and discuss it.
For us it was my parents friends who i have known my whole life who led it.
It was pretty funny -- the first thing they said was 'anne lied quite a bit and Chris was more honest'![]()
We didn't find it intrusive. The way they explain is it isn't the world where the husband works and the wife stays home and raises the kids. And they want you to be aware of things you may have different feelings on or things that could come up in the future. Our couple are great people and totally down to earth so they don't expect the 'correct answer'
Mary -- it asks questions on religion, sex, finance, children, communication.
We start pre-cana in two weeks!
