Fondant or Buttercream??

I know its a tad early to be worrying about these details! But what is everyone planning on doing for their wedding cake? Our RH does not provide a cake so we are on our own! I just love the look of fondant but have heard mixed reviews about the taste!

I'm in the same boat! Our cake comes with the RH package we got but they typically use buttercream (charge extra for fondant). I was going to see if they could use fresh whipped cream instead...much sweeter, lighter taste than buttercream.

THIS! I totally agree. I specifically requested fresh whipped cream.

Fresh whipped won't be able to sit out for too long so be careful.

We're going to try and get everything out of the way in the beginning of the wedding in order to minimize the number of interruptions our guests have while dancing. We will probably do the cake cutting right before dinner while everyone is still seated.
