FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....

Original post by sirev

What stage are all of you in your planning. I am feeling very overwhelmed lately and I feel I will not have enough time to finish everything. It also seems like I am forgetting things. Does anyone else feel this way?

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....

hi girls! It's been a busy weekend - just a note to report. I went out to Pick Quick the Paper Superstore that someone on the board recommended. this place is great!! It turns out that friends of our manage the store ... ha, ha, small world.

Anyway, it's a great place for programs, place cards, menu cards etc! Very reasonable ... good selection. Check it out!

Otherwise how's it all going this week? I've been sick & haven't checked in in a few days.

We got our marriage license this morning. It is getting so close. Over the weekend I bought the jordan almonds and stands for my table names. I have my first fitting on Sunday, and we are picking out the final tuxes on Saturday, so we have a lot coming up.

Hi ladies,

I am a december bride too...sorry I didn't introduce myself sooner. Let's see where I am.
Still need:
Tuxes for guys
Make an appointment with DJ to discuss song lists
Make an appointment to meet and speak with photographer
Go over ceremony details
Make sure girls go for shoes & fitting
Go for first fitting next week

Think I'm all set after that (yeah right!)

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....

I had my first fitting last night and I'm glad I still love the dress. I have lost 20 lbs since I ordered it, so it's huge and needs a ton of alterations. I hope it comes out ok after the changes. I'm alittle nervous about it. My next fitting is on the 8th.

Ok, I noticed we are entering into November very soon and I am getting major butterflies and nerves. Anyone else getting nervous?

I am soooo nervous!!! I just want everything to be perfect. I am not that nervous about getting married, I just want everything to run smoothly. This is me talking talking at the end of October, ask me in December.

I feel the same way - everything is really catching up with me! We've been engaged since April 2001, so I've had so much time to plan (and put things off) that it's almost here with so much left to do!

Sirev...you know we're getting married on the same day, right??!!

Marnles - I know, I can't beleive its only 45 days away. Are you going to Umbertos? I'd love to seeyou there so we could meet! I am really worried about the weather - I hope its not toooo cold! We are taking pictures outside before the church and I don't want to freeze to death!!

Hello all,

What is everyone doing about the wrap/coat/cape situation? I'm also worried about weather, since they've already been talking about SNOW!!

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....

I am really enjoying this time - it is very exciting. Getting the RSVP's, finalizing decisions regarding favors, placecards etc.

I find though lately that I have trouble sleeping - my mind races with all the little details. Then in the morings I am soooooo tierd. Any advice?

Jeanene,

It is exciting getting responses back. We get at least 2-3 every day! I love to see the notes that everyone sends us .

But,
I'm having the same trouble ... restless sleep, no sleep, so many things to think about. I've even resorted to a Tylenol PM once in a while just to get a few hours under my belt. My FH thinks I'm nuts ... oh well, I guess I'll catch up on the honeymoon!

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....

Hi Everyone. My RSVP date is rapidly approaching and I am still missing half of them. People are sending responses in soooo slow. I'm getting very frustrated about this. Also, what is everyone doing for placecards?

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....

I am having the same problem with the response cards coming back so slowly. It is not that difficult to just say yes or no and mail the card back. It is very frustrating. I also can't sleep, I wake up thinking of everything!!!

None of the brides can sleep while all of the grooms are snoring away!!!

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....

My fh can't understand why I can't sleep. What is wrong with this picture. He sits and downloands music cd's while I keep asking him a million questions about things we still need to get done and I have to dole the questions out slowly or he gets too overwhelmed!!! It is just amazing, they definitely are a different species

I agree!! My Fh has no idea what's going on.

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....

I hope everyone is doing well. Figured I would update. The responses are dwindling in at this point, I guess we have about 60%, but our respond by date is this Thursday, so I guess we will be making some calls. We picked out the tux's on Saturday, and bought a house in Merrick
So much going on...just wanted to add 1 more stress thing.. lol
I had my first fitting yesterday, and that went really well. Other than that, we really did not get any more wedding stuff done. I have to get some things crossed off my list this week and this upcoming weekend. I am trying to keep from stressing.
How is everyone else doing. Any updates??

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....

funny, I was just getting ready to update ... here's where I'm at ... it was a busy week.

Finished tuxes, wedding rings & bought most of my BM's gifts. We saw the florist & gave him more money (such a sweetheart!) ... responses are coming in more slowly now, but we have until the 18th.

I'm trying to think of an alternate idea to place cards. I like the place board idea, but I'm not sure how to go about doing it.
Any ideas?

Congratulations, Decbride, on the purchase of your house!!! So much to do on top of planning a wedding & you're soooo organized! Very Impressive! Best of luck!
