Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
Just checking in. I typed out our reception newsletter this weekend. Also, went shopping and picked up bubbles, and silk rose petals (for fg and cake) and picked up a few more things for the emergency kit. How was everyone's weekend? Besides that it was fairly quiet, we mostly spent some quiet time alone at home, which I always like.
nycshari - How was the shower. Fill us in when you get a chance.

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
Ok, I am the first to post about my successful weekend.
First, I actually booked a makeup artist. Then my fh and I finally agreed on our marriage contract which is a Ketubah (we were having trouble agreeing on the design) and will be ordering it today!!!
Next I have to find a hair person, which may be difficult but I know I will find one.
How is everyone else?

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
The shower was so much fun. It was definitely in one of my top 10 best days ever. My sister and mom planned it and did a great job. It was in a restaurant in Manhattan and we had the downstairs room. 30 people attended and I got alot of great gifts. My sister hired a numerologist to do readings for all the guests and I think most of them enjoyed it. I hope the guests enjoyed it as much as I did.

nycshari--That sounds so great. I am so glad that you had such a great time at your shower. The numerologist sounds great too. I like that idea. I am so happy for you

I was a slacker this weekend. Need to get motivated! I am at the last stretch and can't seem to get my rear in gear!

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
ddunne- How are the prices at Bellarino?
I just bought my headpiece/veil (hallelujah - I thought I would never find one!), and now need to go to hair trials...
I'm just about to order the bells for outside the chapel...
I'm currently emailing our Reverend to finalize the ceremony, so I can give the information to my friend who is making our programs for us (whew!)...
I have my 2nd fitting in November...
We are going on Sunday to book a rehearsal dinner spot...once we do, I will make rehearsal dinner invites on the computer.
I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY need to get bridal party gifts...it's going to be soooooooooooooooooo hard, because I have so many girls, and I don't want to 'cheap out'...
I think my shower may be this weekend - yippee!! I'll let you know...
That's it for now......

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
Everyone is moving right along. I do not have too much to report. Went to the dj this week to give him the play, do not play etc lists. Spoke with the Coral House a few times to see if we could get a couple of larger tables for certain groups, which we can, so that worked out well. Started pricing out Jordan Almonds, will probably pick them up at Linda's Lovlies next week (3.99 per lb, lowest price I've seen). Responses coming in in drips and drabs, they are due by 11/7, so not doing too bad on that. Started really checking out some flower sites to see what I exactly want. What are all my fellow December brides doing for flowers. Any suggestions or pictures would be great.

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
hello, all. Just chiming in. I'm getting married 12/21 & reading this thread has been helpful. I'm not as up to speed on all the small details - no tuxes, haven't met w/band yet, no BM gifts, etc. ... reading through has at least given me a list of things I need to do, but it is overwhelming.
decbride 02 - I'm still up in the air about my hair. Make-up is done, but I'd like someone to come to the house. Is this someone that you'd recommend? If so, let us know. I have same problem w/very fine straight hair. Any pic's to post? Would love to see them!

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
I have a hair person who was really good and who looks at you and figures out what is right for you but, she is a little on the expensive side. If you want the info just let me know. She will be way over the amount that others will charge though. I went for a lot of trials and she was the only one who knew what would look good for me so at this point I am going to just spend the extra money for peace of mind.

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
Regarding Bellarino, they quoted me $1200 for basic coverage with studio edits. I don't want baby or honeymoon montages and no interviews. That price also includes raw footage...which many places make you pay for. Phil seemed really nice and an honest business man!

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
As for flowers, my bouquet will be mainly tulips with some other flowers as fillers. MOH bouquet will be a smaller version of mine. Mom's will have orchid wrist corsages. My colors will be in the lavendar/purple range.

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
nycshari - I had my first fitting last night. I was so scared my dress was not going to fit or I did not like it anymore but I'm glad everything went well.
I've also started wrapping my favors and getting together all the pictures needed for the video. I am getting my marriage license on Wed morning and meeting with the priest to start planning the ceremony.
That's my update for the week!
