Hi, I made appointments yesterday for a hair trial for Tuesday and I have a makeup trial tomorrow, I will let you know how it goes. I am getting tired of going for trials.
I looked for jewelery yesterday for the day of but had no luck.
Are you wearing earrings, necklace and what else??????? no watch or watch, bracelet or no bracelet?
I still have millions of things to do.
Where did everyone get their garter?
Hope you all have productive days

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
I had my hair and makeup trial this past Saturday and liked what she did. I booked her for the wedding. I am starting to put together the emergency kit also. I've read that chalk and shout wipes are a must!!! I set up an appt for my first fitting and also an appt to meet with my caterer to discuss the food. Next I'm calling the dj and photographer because I haven't spoken to them since we booked in August.

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
I booked Jennifer from Fairytale Makeovers. She does both hair and makeup and is extremely nice and easy to work with. She'll also be doing my mom's and FMIL's hair and makeup on the wedding day. As for my jewelry, I live in Manhattan and near where I live is a store called Antique Source. They sell 'very real' looking fake diamonds. I bought a pearl and diamond necklace, earring and bracelet set. She has great stuff in this store.

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
I had my make-up trial a while back and booked that as well. My first fitting appt is for 11/3. I have a high illusion neckline with beading so I am not wearing a necklace, but I have a pearl bracelet and a silver cz braclet as well. I just picked up pearl earrings with cz on www.weddingaccessories.net today. I will let you all know when I get them how they are. I have an appt with the dj to finalize dong lists etc on Tuesday 11/22, and I need to call the photographer and videographer this week and make appts to go over finals as well. I still have to go pick up my crinoline slip before the fitting and get one of those hold me in, lift me up bra things

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
What is everyone wearing in their hair? I'm not wearing a veil or a tiara. I'm looking for fancy hair clips or bobby pins. Anyone know of a good place?

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
nycshari-- I am doing the same as you. I am wearing a small veil for church and will take it off after the first dance. No tiara, etc. I got some decorated hair pins on line a while ago. They are from Cathy's Concepts, but you can't buy direct from them. There is a list of on-line and I think some local places you can get their items through. I also heard you can get some nice ones at the Tri-County flea market in Levittown. I have also seen some really expensive ones on line, but I am not sure where. If you so a search on hair jewelry I am sure you will come up with some.

Thanks Dec02. Someone else told me about the Tri County Flea Market, but I'm not sure where it is. I don't live on LI.

Decbride- Does that salon also have a makeup counter? I am trying to figure out if I know that salon for some reason.

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
I'm home sick today so I can't do much. Last night I finally found a Rabbi to marry us. We had been turned down by 2 others. Nothing else is going to get crossed off my list until next week.

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
It's good to see us all making some progress. Nycshari, I hope you feel better soon. We are going to have singers at our reception. My niece is going to sing our first dance song and Mark's sister is singing the mother/son dance, so I decided to do a newlsetter for the reception to introduce them. Plus, we are having jordan almonds which is an Italian tradition, so I gave some background on that, re-mentioned the camera scavenger hunt and to give the cameras to the dj at the end of the night, etc. I wrote that up last night, so I will type it this weekend and get it printed up next week. My fmil sent us our flutes which we received last night (they are the Waterford Marquis Winterfest) which are etched with snowflakes, I love them. On sunday I am going out looking for some of the smaller misc. items which I need to get and also my bra for the dress. I really want to try to have as much done by Thanksgiving as possible so we can relax and enjoy this a little bit. I hope I am not trying mission impossible !!

shari, hope you feel better. I also feel like a cold or something is brewing, we better not be sick in 7-8 weeks!!!
Hope everyone has a successful weekend with many items crossed off the 'to do' list!

Re: FOR ALL DECEMBER BRIDES....
Here's my update:
I've scheduled my first fitting for tomorrow. I am so excited! I hope the dress fits. I also ordered the table cameras and wedding matches. At least I'm taking some things off the list. I will start wrapping favors this week and finishing writing my thank you's for my shower. That's about it.
