how do you dry out flowers?
You can hang them upside down, or press them in a book. They also sell a product on Home Shopping Network that's like a powder that you put the flowers in, but it's expensive, and you need a lot of it.
take the floweres you want to dry and a a piece of twin and tie it arounf the end and make a tight knot. then hang from a dry area(i hang them from my mantle over the fireplace. Some ime they may become moldy because too much moisture. I also found if you take a shoe box(cardboard box) and put the flowers in there for a while, keep checking on them. I think that the cardboard help the drying process.
I hung mine upside-down (with the stems bundled together with ribbon) and every 2 days, spray it with a super-strong hair spray (i use aqua net) after about 2 weeks they are fully dry and not as fragile as w/out the hair spray
My mother has dried a few family bouquets - she puts them on the dehumidifier in the basement and they come out great
It is very easy,,,just place them in an area that they won't get kocked around and have room to breath, so don't get moldy.
I never thought of hair spray...It's dries and it's not sticky???
