For all the ladies who only had an outer envelope for their invitation--I need your help!
Ok, so I am this point and of course I need help.
First question is: When you are inviting a family how to address it with the children--Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Smith and I want to say Katie, Matt and Corey (these are their children)
Second question is: When I have a single guest how do I word it. Ms. Jodi Smith and Guest. Is that right? and is Guest capitalized?
Thanks girls!

This is what I did...but I don't know if it's correct!
For families where the childen were under 18...I put Mr. and Mrs. John Smith & Family. If a child is over 18 or does not live at home, they should get their own invitation.
For singles....I put Mr. John Smith and Guest.
Hope that helps.

Add the children's names to the outer:
Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Logan Jennifer, Michael and Robert

I hope I read yoru question correctly, here is what I did, for families, for example..I had a family of two parents and four children I adressed the outer to Mr. & Mrs. and their name, on the inner, I had all of their names, you can use nicknames on teh inner, so that is what I did, also as luvsun said, if they over 18 they get their own invite, even if in the same household. For singles, I put on the outer envelope the personas name Miss blah blah and then on the inner, you would put their name & guest.

I had outer envelope only, it was a little tricky! I did it like luvsun did.
For families with children under 18, I put Mr.& Mrs. John Smith and Family. The woman I worked with at Lion in the Sun said this was perfectly fine.
Kids over 18 got their own invite.
For an unknown guest, it was 'and Guest'. (capital G)
Hope it helps!

I did it and mentioned everyone that was invited on the invite, otherwise u could get people coming who aren't invited, it's a nice touch to put everyone's name on it
