For all you Mrs. out there...
So..how handy did your bride's survival kit come in handy? I'm not into putting together a huge 'what if' kit, so what would you recommend as definate necessities??

Re: For all you Mrs. out there...
I didn't have an emergency kit at all, and thankfully, we didn't need one. I didn't really have the time to put one together!

Re: For all you Mrs. out there...
honestly...the only thing I really used was my slippers, rice papers (to blot my face during the day) and I re-applied my lipstick once during the day. I say this, if I didnt have all the things that I put in my bag with me, I would have had to use it.So be on the safe side, get an emergency bag together and if you do not use it, you will in the years to come!!
Good Luck to you!

I didnt use one, but the limo driver brought one and I think everything I needed was in our bathroom baskets.

I didn't need much either. I used the blotting papers too.I was having such a great time dancing, I never even looked in the mirror! Only when I went to the bathroom when we first got there.

Re: For all you Mrs. out there...
Needle and thread!!! Very important - do not leave at home (see my vendor review). That along with blotting papers and lipstick. I would also have used shout wipes if I could have found them in my chaotic house before leaving.
I didn't go to the bathroom even ONCE from 3PM to 1AM so Im probably not the best to give advice.

Re: For all you Mrs. out there...
We didn't need anything other than band-aids...and my hall provided a bunch of stuff, so we didn't put together an 'emergency kit'

Re: For all you Mrs. out there...
Besides my lipstick/lipliner & powder -- the 'shout wipes' were key! I got a few small stains on my gown and the wipes took care of them right away.Besides my cigs & lighter, I don't think I used anything else

Re: For all you Mrs. out there...
My BM's put together a bunch of stuff for my emergency kit. I used the Advil (more as prevention), breathmints, blotting sheets, lipstick, tissues/hankie and face powder. The reception halls usually have needle and thread handy. They sewed my DH's button back on his jacket.Like Steph, I didn't use the bathroom at all. I think I was afraid my gown wouldn't fit!!

Re: For all you Mrs. out there...
the only emergency kit I used..was extra bobbypins--my lipstick..and we took pictures on a beach, so I took off my shoes and wore tennis socks to make it easier to walk on the beach and also to not get my shoes all dirty.

Re: For all you Mrs. out there...
Didn't need any emergency things either thank god but if I did, I made a bathroom basket that had stuff if I needed it. And I didn't go to the bathroom either! I didn't need to but thank god!

Re: For all you Mrs. out there...
all I did was put on more lipstick...thankfully we didn't need anything else...b/c that got pushed to the side...but I think (like lisat - same hall) that my hall had a lot of that stuff...they are very up on that kind of service...
maybe check with the hall before hand

Re: For all you Mrs. out there...
didnt have one, just brought a duffle bag for all my stuff to stay at the hotel with. It had my lipstick, etc.I didnt worry, because if something was going to happen, so be it, not going to ruin my day

Re: For all you Mrs. out there...
Diane, I must say that you were one brave lady b/c I couldn't be that calm about something happening!I used lipstick and pressed powder and blotting tissue to keep my makeup perfect.
Other things that were used by either me, the groom or the bridal party:
re-wetting drops for contacts
pantiliners
spritz of perfume
breath mints
needle & thread
pepto bismal tablets
bottled water
shout wipes
Nothing was a real emergency, but these things came in handy on the day of the wedding. There were a ton of other things that we had on hand, but we didn't have to use. I recommend having a kit just in case. You never know.

Re: For all you Mrs. out there...
my brother who was my man of honor, was so thankful that I had tums. I used the wipes to take away the shine a few times, and the excedrin was a must. One of my BM's used the static guard, and we used the extra bobby pins, and the mints. I should have kept it with me though, because I needed a lot of the stuff the day after, and it wound up going home with one of my bridesmaids after the reception.

Re: For all you Mrs. out there...
I brought a white eyeliner/eyeshadow pencil to fill in any stains that I got on my dress. It worked well and fast.I also carried loose powder, lipstick and hairspray. I was too fortunate to not have to go to the bathroom all night. That was such a relief since the dress was a little restricting.
