For all you nail-biters out there....

Are you planning on getting fake nail for the wedding day?? Or are you going to try and grow them out?

I'm afraid fake nails will look ridick on me!!!

Oh man. My nails are TERRIBLE. I'm going to start going for weekly manicures starting next month. I find that when I keep them manicured I'm less likely to bite them. But I have to keep them up.

ETA: At first I thought I'd do fake nails....but looking back on pictures of me with fake nails (which I realize is a hysterical thought in the first place), I looked RIDIRKULOUS. So fake looking on my stumpy hands. So yeah - my real, short nails it is!

I'm doing tips...I in no way want to worry about my nail polish chipping or me breaking a nail on my wedding day. Plus i think it looks nice:) And....when i go on my honeymoon i won't have to worry about them

i've been wearing them since we got engaged. i keep them very short. i do take them off every now and again so my nails can breathe, but i bite them as soon as the tips come off. i will do it for a while after the wedding. you do get used to them, and they look better than my bit my nails. i'm even worse at biting off the skin and cuticles around the nail. i know, super gross, but i don't do that at all w/the tips. if you keep them short they don't look bad at all, just takes some getting used to.

I thought I was the only one with this issue!

use fake like until a month before the wedding, so you can grow yours out.. and then ask the salon to do a gel manicure..(not a wrap).. it's a thin powder to make your nails a bit stronger and it does not look like fake!!

once you do remove the fake nails, make sure you ask them to shape it the way you want to with the lenght and stuff.. and just maintain it till the wedding!

my nails - i keep mine very short and manicured either a french or pale pink.....FH hates fake nails.....he likes them real and short so i'm not going to mess with them before the wedding....i happen to like fake with a permanent french but FH is into all natural so its fine with me! less money!

Whenever I gotten tips in the past they've made my real nails so weak when I take the tips off. I am going to grow mine out. Not too long. I am trying to take better care of them now and just keep them polished. When they have polish on them I don't bite them. In a few months I will try to start getting manicures every couple of weeks so they are in good shape by the time the wedding comes up.

I'm not a nail biter persay but i do have horrible nails...they are very flat, and the edges are always chopped up...so I will be getting fake nails because of how many people will look at and see my hands that day...and the pictures!!!

have you ever had fake nails before?

Nope... and I have no trouble growing them out, it's just when I'm stressing I tend to nibble... we'll see what happens once we get closer.

I really like the way fake nails look with a french mani but they always end up trashing my nails. I'm just going to have mine short and a very light color.

i am trying to grow them out. I find that if i have polish on them i don't bite them and they don't break. So i think i have to get a polish every week or so.

I have silk wraps now and I am just keeping up with them until after the honeymoon and then I will get manicures after that.
