Did you? I mean that is actually my greatest fear. I def don't want to be sobbing throughout. Obviously some crying here and there but I'm so scared to be hysterical for every aspect. Like now, when I envision my self walking down the asile and seeing FH for the first time, or taking our vows, or our enterance or first dance.....I cry. And that's just now!

But when I talk to some of my friends who got married they said that you gets so overwhelmed that you really don't cry as much as you thought. But a lot of my friends are 'cryiers'. I am a HUGE cry baby!

So for any newleyweds who are cry babies like me and thought you'd be hysterical all day.....were you? And please be honest so I know exactly how many boxes of kleenex to bring that day!

I was sooooooooooooo calm!!! And I suffer from anxiety and panic disorder. Val......I thought I'd be a mess. But I wasn't. I did choke up a bit during vows, but soon then composed myself. It was over soo fast. I was just like you, thinking about it, and crying at the same time. Nothing of the sort happened that day. Everything went smoothely, and once it was over, I took it all in, breathed a sigh of relief, and had the time of my life. My hope is that it's the same for you!!!

I cried after the ceremony, when we went upstairs to the bridal suite to be alone for a few minutes. And not even that much. I was a little hysterical, in the total sense of the word, I cried, I laughed, I was just totally excited. WE DID IT!! we both kept saying. And there were a lot of 'I love you's too, of course. But I was surprised, I thought I'd cry during the walk down the aisle and the ceremony. My voice shook a little during the vows, but that's it. I didn't think I was nervous, but I guess I was. Or maybe I was just excited.

Don't worry about it too much. It's such a momentous occasion, you don't know how you're going to react. Some people told me I looked stunned when I was walking down the aisle, but I was so happy I was trying to keep from yelling 'Woo hoo!!' or something. Or running up there. Here, this is me walking up the aisle:

Sorry for crashing your board, I thought I would be crying when I walked down the aisle. But in fact I was laughing and smile and so excited to see him at the end. I didn't cry at all, I know it wasn't nerves. I think if I saw him tearing then that would of made me cry.

i am soooo bad when it comes to crying about the wedding, i was convinced i was going to be BALLING the entire day. however i only had a few moments of tears. right before i walked down the aisle--a tear or two shed. and then during the ceremony, only at the end when we were announced husband and wife cause i was just so damn happy to hear it! it actually became one of my fav pics from the big day--my officiant took a pic and you can see the tear under my eye. (i look upset here, but i'm really not--i'm just so overwhelmed that he's now my husband)


i surprised myself and did shed some tears during our first dance, again cause i was just so damn happy!


otherwise, i was fine all day. i think cause DH and i did pics beforehand and saw each other before the ceremony, is the reason i didn't cry so much.

i cried a lot during the planning...when i thought about how the moments would be....

the day of my wedding, i was SOOOOO calm. i gota little teary eyed walking down the aisle with my dad, but i was smiling more than anything. got a little teary during the vows but nothing big. the only time i really cried was when i danced with my dad. i was sooo happy all day and soooo calm... definitely not the hysterically crying bride. plus, my make up looked awesome! i was not messing that up!

I did cry a little walking down the aisle and then again during our vows. The rest of the night I didnt shed a tear. I'm normally an emotional mess, but not too bad ont he wedding day.

Even though I cry when I think about certain things, I tend to be a 'delayed reaction' crier- my mind is so filled with thoughts that I don't think I really take it all in! It would not surprise me if I don't cry- even though I cry everytime I hear our wedding song or think about our vows... I'd probably cry when we get home!

I realy really thought that I was going to cry the WHOLE time! I would watch TV and they would show weddings and I would cry!
BUT I didnt shed a tear at all! I almost did when my dad gave me away but that was it.

I am not a cryer but I was afraid that I would at the wedding. Well I didn't cry but I giggles and laughed the whole time. I mean the whole time, during the before pictures and the ENTIRE ceremony. Not loud laughing but everyone noticed.

I honestly thought I would be a mess. But I actually was very good. I only cried when I left my house for the last time. After that I was good. I was soooo nervous right before walking down the aisle but I made it through the whole ceremony without crying.

nah, we were both fine. we didn't tear up at all. But we did have enormous cheesy on our faces all day

thought i would just look like a baby the day of and i was soooooooooooo proud of myself bc i didnt cry at all....ALMOST did a tonnnnnnnnnn of times but held myself together i guess i cried enough at the end of the wedding process that i was able to REALLLLLLY enjoy myself....we both had a blast

Thank you girls for your honesty!!! I really hope that I am like the majority of you and hold myself together. I get so embarassed when I cry in front of people b/c I have this fear that it WILL NOT STOP!!!!

And I love the one brides advice of looking up and taking deep breaths. I think I may be doing a lot of that!!
