? for Brides that are already married about wedding guests.
Did you have any guests that RSVP'd yes to your wedding and then they didn't show the day of? If so how many people? Also, did they call and aplogize or give an explanation?

Re: ? for Brides that are already married about wedding guests.
yup--i really think this happens to like 90% of brides.
my cousin and her hubby (whom i did NOT want to invite in the first place cause i don't know her that well) told us they 'wouldn't miss it for the world' and then on the big day they didn't show up. no card, response, phone call or anything. it made me even madder cause this was an issue with my parents and i, since i said i could care less if they were invited and my dad made a big deal cause 'they are family' and actually had the balls to say 'you are inviting friends i don't know, but you don't want your FAMILY'
yeah the friends showed up--the family didn't. i asked my mom and dad if they called my cousins or anything and i think they were just embarassed and said 'no, we don't feel like we have to call' so i still have no idea what happened, and i paid for two plates that were never used.

My cousin had at least two people not show up to her reception. I heard some brides say that you should tell your hall a few less people rsvp-ed yes then actually did. For example if 135 people say yes, tell the hall 130-132 so then if you have a few no shows you are not paying for them and if everyone does show up you can add them then. Not sure if I am going to do that, but it is an idea if you are concerned.

Thanks for the replies ladies. I can just imagine. MJ Doc that is horrible of some people. The least they could've done is send you a card w/a gift. Yes some people do suk!!

I was thinking of doing the same thing but with my luck every single person who said yes will show lol...
