For your registry, what color bedding did you/will you be registering for? I'm having trouble with this because we don't have a house yet and don't know what color anything will be. Should I just do white?

Either do white or you can also ask for gift cards for the things that you don't know what colors you want.

Even though FH and I live together now we don't have a house, so we registered for Cream/Tan colored sheets, Very Neutral but not as generic as white. You can always Register for a Light option and a Dark option and return whichever you end up not using or save as spare for guest room.

Well if you register for a quilt or duvet in a color, just pick things that go together. For instance, we have two patterned comforters, one that is light blue and brown and one that is light blue, gray, and white. I just got colors that would work with the comforters so we have light blue, chocolate brown, navy, green and beige sheets so that they all go with the bedding sets we already have. (Don't judge me, bed bath and beyond had a major clearance sale on the sheets I like a while back so I just stocked up.) I say pick a color palate for each room or even the whole house and go with that. It will save you time and energy and you won't have to worry about things not meshing well together.

ETA: I'm a spiller so I always go with color because I KNOW white will get ruined.

We registered. We did live together but now we live in different countries. Before or shorty after weddig we are buying a house so we too picked out neutral colors for bedroom (ivory and grey ish sheets) with a duvet. So we will buy cover when we know the color later on. In bathroom we did ivory and latte towels.

I registered for a white duvet cover and a few pillows that matched, and write sheets. I was just worried about it being white, but I guess since it's a duvet, it will be easy to clean anyway. We registered at Macys, and they didn't really have a whole lot of neutral patterned sets that I liked, or the ones that I did like had terrible reviews =/ so I guess white will be the color!

That's a really nice set and I really like the colors. Hotel Collection has such nice things!

yeah its so expensive though! I wouldn't spend that much on the bedding if I was buying it myself, but i guess that's what the registry is for

i did a grey with a yellow lace overlay- i feel with this bedding we can paint our walls any color- i'm very daring with color so that could be why i picked it, but a good neutral bedding is best probably!

We live together and our registry was very sparse. I suggest you register for things you really want or need. It is not necessary to register for bedding if you have a large selection of items for your guests to purchase.

We have plain white/gray bedding that we got for our eng. party that matches the Mikasa Love Story china pattern, but when we registered, we both fell in love with Cobalt Links by Hotel Collection from Macys:

We kind of figured that if we're unable to paint for some strange reason and the bedding doesn't match, at least we'll be able to return it and use the credit to buy something that does match. I know there are things to register for that are more important than others, but we figured that if it something we'd buy ourselves if we don't get it, we registered for it. Also, I was told where we registered that the items that aren't purchased we'll be able to buy at a discounted price.

We weren't going to register for bedding, but we only registered at one store for the wedding and over 100 people will be invited to the shower. We figured we would get gift cards and stuff probably too and we will just buy the bedding with those if nobody buys it. Plus, for my sister's wedding we just got her stuff off of her registry that she didn't get at her wedding/shower for her bday and Christmas.
