How can i trick my period into rescheduling itself.... do i skip the placebo and keep going?? I just calculated and while i wont have my period for the wedding i will for the freakin honeymoon!!!! ive never payed around with my pills before so any advice is helpful!!! Thanks guys!

I just tried this because I was going on vacation.
I called my gyno and asked what to do
they said 'just skip the last week of pills (the different color ones) and start the new pack'
So I did this, and for the first two weeks of the new pack I was good.
Once I hit the two week mark, I started spotting and it lasted until I finished the placebo of the pack!
I had my period for a little over two weeks.
It s*cked.
I'm also on the low hormone pills so this might have something to do with it?
Just an FYI-- you might want to check with your doctor.
ETA: I did this before we went on vacation, so it didn't ruin my trip. That's something you can try to. This was I was a week ahead anyway by the time we went on vacay!
That way if you have any issues, it won't affect any of your plans.

I did the same thing, skipping the placebo pills and starting a new pack right away. I didn't have spotting but I did have cramps like I was getting my period. But it still worked.

Call Your GYN... They have a 1 week pill pack that you can take to stop it

Thats strange, i've never heard of skipping the last week and starting a new pack. It was always told me to just start a new pack as soon as you are done with that pack.
btw - the patch is AMAZING!!! soo much better, you only think about it once a week

When I was on the pill I joined three packs together while working as a lifeguard on a summer camp. By the last week of the 3rd pack my body was just like 'f this!' and I got my period anyway.
I would talk to your gyno - what about seasonique?

Skip the Sugar pills and star on the active pills...
I did this for my Vacation but I started to get ready 6months in advance.... Vacation was on August and I tricked on February

Just start a new pack instead of taking the placebos. Aren't there pills that allow to have only 4 periods a year? Ask your gyno about that.

U do get a little blod (or around 2days of ur period) That is why you have to 'trick it' in advance...
when i did this for my vacation, i was perfectly fine!!!

Slip the last 7 pills and continue with a new package, ur period will not come 'til the follwing month ; )

if your pill has 4 weeks in it then skip the placebo pills at the end (the last 7) if there is only three weeks in the pack, then start the new pack right away (you would normally wait a week to start the new pack - thats when u get ur period)

hmm this is a good idea...if i trick it a few months early...then I should be a week early every month after that...ill talk to the gyn when i go in Sept.!

i would just skip the placebo's and start the new pack right away.
I've done that several times before-no pd on vacation and no baby!

I skipped the placebos and went straight into the next pack and boy did I get s*c*r*w*e*d. I had my period for about 4 weeks including my vacation. It was terrible! I would call your doctor before doing anything.
