I was at my FBIL wedding this past weekend & they had table cameras on all the tables & most didn't use them.
If you had table cameras at your wedding, did you find that most were used, or just a few pictures were taken and they were forgotten about after the first 10 minutes?

Not a past bride- but
I got only 15exp and asked the MC to discreetly remind guests to use them and leave them when they are done

Re: ? for past brides - table cameras
We had cameras on each of our 12 tables. We got 11 cameras back and all but 2 cameras were finished. I finished these two cameras off the next day at a brunch my mom hosted.
DH's aunt went around to all the tables and took pictures of people to help finish off the film which I thought was absolutely fantastic.
We got a lot of good shots from these cameras - they were mostly pics of our guests dancing and such.

Re: ? for past brides - table cameras
Most of my cameras were used- there was only one camera that had a couple pics left on it. BUT- there was a problem with people using the flash- most of the pics came out dark.

Re: ? for past brides - table cameras
We had two on every table, although not ever single pic was used up..my ablsolute favorite pictures were taken with thsoe cameras, better than our photographers..I strongly recommend them...even if your photographer does a beautiful job..the table cameras are still pictures that you wouldnt have otherwise!! Also, our photographer focused on me and Dh and not so much of or guests, the table cameras were nice to see of what our guests were up to!!!

I have read mixed reviews about refurbished cameras, those are ually the cheaper ones on ebay..some are remanufactured. I used the Kodak wedding cameras, they are brand new , at the time amazon had teh best price. Bets of luck!!!

Re: ? for past brides - table cameras
I know 2 of my cameras disappearred but later to find both my SIL's took them- urgh - but they did give me copy of their pictures but I was going nuts trying to figure out who took them never figuring a family member would and not tell me! Plus I had made double prints of my table cameras some of which I used to make a special album for the parents and to give to friends and didn't get the doubles from them - and those were the rolls from my bridal party/famiy pictures.
As far as pictures - I had cameras w/24 pictures and I would say most of the cameras did get filled or at least with 2-3 pictures. I took some of the lesser filled ones with me on the honeymoon to finish up.
I also did the scavenger hunt with mine so I got more creative and interesting pictures and drew more focus to the camera on the tables.

Re: ? for past brides - table cameras
We had 24 cameras and got them all back and most of them had all 27 exposures used but not all of them. I'll note that 80% of the pictures sucked. They were too dark, or taken from too far away, or taken of people goofing around. I wouldn't do it again (even though there WERE a few good pictures) because getting all those developed, in addition to buying the cameras, was expensive!

by the way - we did get refurbushed cameras from an ebay vendor.....but he promised a full refund if we were not satisfied with the cameras.....so i took some pictures with one before the wedding to make sure. and the pictures came out great. it was a lot cheaper that way

Re: ? for past brides - table cameras
I had 14 tables.
3 tables did not take one single picture -- so I brought those cameras on my honeymoon
More than 1/2 of the tables used about 1/2 of the photos in the camera.
Only 3 or 4 tables used them all.
Most pictures came out dark (people forgot to use the flash)
I got some nice shots that the photohgrapher missed and I got some funny pictures from people clowning around.
I still love the idea of cameras on the tables. I think it's a nice touch!

Re: ? for past brides - table cameras
I bought 30 something 27 exposure cameras. I put one on each table and like 6 on the kids table. Most of them with the exception of about 8, which we ended up bringing on the honeymoon to finish, were used. And some of my best and favorite shots were from the table cameras. Just make sure you attach a card to them telling people to use the flash. I am so happy we did them. I bought them on sale for 97 cents each at staples and it cost me total $200 to develop them with double prints. They were well well worth the money!!!
ETA- I actually came home with more cameras than I put out. Some people had brought their own disposable cameras and left them on the table!!!

With my film, most pictures were taken. I am happy that I used the Cameras. It was nice to see the unprofessional pictures.
