I heard that you are using a platter for guests to sign in as opposed to a guestbook. Can you give me some information on this? Thanks.

For SonicStef...

There is a paint your own pottery shop near me that sells the platter, ceramic pens and will have an artist draw your names and date in the center for $95. After the wedding, you return it to them for firing. Its called The Painted Pot in Brooklyn. My guess is that most of the ceramic shops do something similiar.
