Are you getting Plat wedding bands too? Or White Gold?

Absolutely....I was told that if you have plat. and white gold together there is a difference (when looking at it)

Getting platinum bands to match my e-ring.
My MOH has a platinum e-ring and a white gold band and it looks good. You really can't tell.
I think it depends on the ring and setting.

Not sure yet. He had my ring custom made, and we are having a really hard time finding a band that looks good with it.

I can tell the difference. I am using my mothers band for the ceremony only. It is 'white gold.' White gold is not a pure metal but rather yellow gold and rhodium. Over time it DOES yellow as I saw a huge difference between the white gold band and my platinum setting. Will others notice? No. But I do and thats enough. Besides, I am only getting a plain platinum band without stones. It will shine differently and the metal will be prominent. I do not see myself running out to have my ring dipped when it yellows so I am simply getting a platinum band.

I'm getting platinum also. In fact its the same band that I have only w/o the stone. It has approx 10-12 stones pave and stops at the sides........

Basically, the white shiney-ness fades away and the 'yellow' gold element shows through.
