For The Watermill brides....review of 7/7/07 wedding!

Took me only a week....

OK, so...I've been to a bunch of weddings and I have to say, this was one of the BEST!! Kristie (the bride) is a very good friend of mine. I know all the little details she put into this wedding and it really made it unique. She made this wedding one of the most memorable I've ever been to. You could really 'feel the love'!

Now for the review...
The Watermill
Her ceremony was outside on the gorgeous grounds. The setup was beautiful, the chairs were gorgeous, the grass was GREEN and the arch above the 'altar' was stunning!

The cocktail hour was outside as well. Frozen drinks were passed around and they were defitinely needed in the 90+degree heat . The food was flowing and it was all delish!!

The reception was in the room on the left... sorry, I don't know the actual name of the room. It was very pretty. The linens were gorgeous. OH MY GOD....the food was SO SO good. I had the Chateau Briand (sp. ) and so did FH. It was melt in your mouth amazing!!

The VH was UNBELIEVABLE
There were 2 chocolate fountains. WHITE and MILK ....I cannot say enough about the quality of the food at this place.


Ceremony Music: Janet King
She was so so beautiful (the music). I've never heard a harpist before so it was very nice to hear.

Cocktail Hour Music: King Wellignton
AMAZING!!!!!!!!! They are a steel-pedal drum band from Fire Island. They were so original and set the tone for the rest of the night!! I'm thinking of having them for our wedding because we loved them so much!

Reception Music: Tommy Tunes
Great DJ and MC. Kept the crowd dancing all night (well...day)

I think that's all! I want to go back, it was such an awesome time!!
(needless to say, the drinks were FLOWING )

Thank's for the review! It sounds like you were in the Astor room. (upstairs). I am so happy to hear awesome reviews of the Watermill. I haven't head a bad one yet!
